 ;D Hi,

Just got back from the Vets and they are thrilled to bits with the babies ;D. Chests are nice and clear, eyes good, and they have both put weight on :cheer: Simba is now 2.9 kilos and Coco is now 2.7 Kilos.  Wow thats fantastic.  We are to reduce the steroids gradually now and keep them on the antibiotics, then we have to go back next Thursday, when we will reduce the steroids again (gradually).  It is looking very positive though (still have quite a way to go with them) but at least we are heading in the right direction.

We also paid the bill OUCH! never mind they are worth it 1000 times.

It pleases us greatly, to share our good news with you all.

Thanks for being there for us

lots of love, from a very happy house

 ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hi all,

we seem to be having a bit of wobberly leg syndrome today,  i first noticed early this afternoon, but I thought they had just lost their footings, but this evening it has progressed into can't quite reach the sofa!! :censored: will see how they are and they are going to the Vets anyway in the morning...PLEASE let me just be being paranoid and it is nothing else.

;D ;D Merry Christmas everyone,  Simba and Coco have had a great day, their tunnel (bought at auction) never arrived, but they have enjoyed playing in the empty boxes and wrapping paper .  They are sleeping just now, think they have worn themselves out today!.  John and I have had a fabby day too and we got some fabby presents from them.  They have both decided that as much as they like their cat sofa to sleep on, the big bed in the big room with the curtains around it is MUCH more comfy  .
They have been great today, bums good, poo good, eyes bright (both of them) and we even think they are starting to put a bit of weight on.

Yippeeee
bye for now, and thanks to Dawn for putting the pikky on.
more to follow (John got a new camera for Christmas and is going to have a practise)
love John, Jackie, Simba and Coco

so nice they have found electric blankets that sleep in odd positions!

I hope there are many more nights like that for you all and just take a painkiller when the back pain is bad in the morning!

Sleeping with 12 sure means we sleep in odd ways but so long as they are comfortable I hope they keep improving and good luck at the vets!

Hello folks,

sorry not been in touch for a couple of days, we are completely  busy at home, busy at work!!.  Simba and Coco have taken over the house....now there's a surprise  Still got good poos and no more sore bums, not coughing as much now either Thank God!!, pot bellies still.  We spoke to our vets again today and we are taking them in for her to check them out and things on Thursday morning, but meanwhile.... they seem happy enough and John woke up in the middle of the night because he said he was in a funny position   Simba was laid at the side of him and Coco was inbetween his legs .  They seem very settled and MUCH happier, fur is looking and feeling good and eyes bright (Coco still a bit guey), had to stop Simba from eating the Christmas tree...but they haven't attacked it and that's a good thing .

We are so grateful to each and every one of you for you support.  We have found it very stressful and upsetting (obviously), we aren't celebrating yet but we are a lot more optomistic.  We couldn't have done it without you all.  It is so nice to know that we have a lot of new friends....And on that note,we would like to wish you and your families both furry and human the BEST CHRISTMAS EVER.

Hope Santa Paws is good to you all.

Take care
Love from all at our house

Am glad to hear a positive outcome, fingers crossed it is the start of their improvement.
Gail - diarrhea is listed as one of the (many) symptoms of FIP, and it was one of my neighbours cats symptoms - although Tig didn't have it either. It is just one of those illnesses that has many symptoms and cats dont have to have them all for it to be that.

That sounds brilliant Jackie! I'm so pleased for you.  now they have hopefully got out of the cycle of runny poos I'm sure they will come on in leaps and bounds, and you will able to relax a bit (or possibly collapse with relief LOL! - I know how that feels having gone through a trauma with my kitten recently!!).

What excellent news hopefully they have turned the corner and are on the road to recovery.  Personally I think it's a great idea to let them explore the house as this will also help them to feel more settled .... however comfortable they are in their room it must be a bit unerving for them to be able to hear noises from the otherside of the door and not really have any idea of what is going on!  I'm sure in no time at all they will have found the best seats in the house (or the bed) and made themselves well and truly at home. :Luv2: :Luv2:

 ;D good morning,

We have poo that looks like poo today :cheer: both were crying pitifully at 5.30 obviously starving!! had medicine and I am even going to say their fur feels a lot better.  It looks a lot better too and is lying better if you know what I mean ;) John put their stockings under the tree yesterday and that made us both cry, with happiness of course.  Will see what today brings, but we are VERY hopefull, we can't believe the difference in just a few days, and bums are still a bit sore looking but no longer look raw.

Now that they have stopped with runny bums, we are going to open their door so that they can have a bit of an explore, and then can go back to the safety whenever they want to.  They already have checked out the upstairs rooms though (due to escaping when I go in with the breakfast tray!) this morning Simba was sat on the toiled lid and Coco was thinking of venturing into the bath  (it was empty, I hasten to add).

More later
Love to you all
