Caroline is wonderful. She had been to bed late the night before after an emergency patient visit so only got to bed at midnight. Then she was on the road early yesterday, she got to mine just after 8pm, left at 9:30ish or so, and then off to the clinic with Lexy, and back at mine after 11pm. Poor woman is run ragged, she has a full diary today too.

She's very clinical, very direct and professional but you can see she cares. Poor thing was so tired, there she was offering me comfort as I broke into tears when she showed me the crystals that she extracted.

She's one in a million.

Thanks peeps.

This will be her 3rd time in surgery in 15 months. Which is why I worry so. I know she'll recover well this is not uncommon surgery, and with a bit of sleep behind me, whilst still worried I'm less anxious.

I left her for work this morning and I got a sleepy wink

She's slept off the sedative though still a bit loopy and her pain killer should keep her comfy for the day.

You guys are wonderful. Without your support where are the rest of us?

Caroline sounds absolutely wonderful and Lexy will be less stressed with you than in hospital. I am pleased that this is a relatively unbad thing and Lexy should be fine after surgery....will carloine be able to give her stitches or staples that will mean she will not need a collar?

Caroline just called. Lexy has two large bladder stones which are too big to pass. So she will need surgery. These develop over time and since she's female the likelihood of either blocking her urethra are slim. Surgery is fully booked tomorrow so they will operate Saturday, worst case Monday. In the meantime, my wonderful vet Caroline is bringing her home to me tonight, she will be better at home and then I just have to take her in on the day.

So in a way I'm far more relieved than a little while ago. And my baby will be home tonight to sleep with me.

Sadly CAroline has just left and took Lexy with her. After sedating her she was finally able to examine her belly. Her bladder was empty but very hard. Caroline was able to extract a crystal, but Lexy needs x-rays. Its either very very bad cystitis, or its stones. If its stones then surgery.

So everyone please pray for my baby. I won't know more until tomorrow.

had a bit of chocolate in the kitchen.

The drill is I have to close the living room door so lexy can't hide when Caroline gets here, as a result she knows somethings up but is chilled out... me however needed the chocolate to calm me down! She stresses so much especially when she has to get the needles out.

I will take advantage and clip her claws though. CAroline is a godsend. Even said it was ok for me give her a post-dated cheque for next week rather than have to pay her now. Poor woman has been on the road since 8am and I don't think I'm the last to see her today.

Thanks, still waiting. She had an emergency so we're sat here waiting. We had a nap this afternoon and Lexy is now starving and wants food, but Caroline still not here, she said no later than 8pm. At least I got to spend the day with Lexy. Lounge is at least tidy and the kettle is ready to boil for a cuppa.

Hate waiting.

LOL! that's what I had to do yesterday as I had a customer coming here to the house, and to be honest yesterday was a complete write off! but somehow I managed to tidy up and make 'pleasant' conversation with my customer. You'll be starving if you havent had brekkie either, couldnt you sneak a quick bite to eat while Lexy's not looking
