Thanks Claire, i am going to find her number now, i spoke to her last year when DD was poorly and she was going to get back to me and for some reason i cant remember but i took DD back to my vet again, the only thing is all boy's results are with my vet but may be she can get them to fax it to her.

Thankyou so much for suggesting this , i cant think straight at the moment. Second opinion sounds really good.

Pav, I'm texting you the number of our vet in Belsize Park. You know my sis love them and that's where Lexy is having her surgery. They are great there.  Do you need help tonight? I can come over if you need to

Hi Pav,

I am sorry to hear that Boy is not well this morning....could you perhaps get a second opinion?  I know that Ruth's vet seems great and does home visits - is she near you at all?

I know it is so hard when you start to doubt your vet, but you must go with your instinct and if you are unsure, maybe it is time to get someone else's view.

Sending you both gentle hugs and my thoughts.

Claire xx

Boy is so sick this morning? He cant keep any food in.

This morning he has been sick 3 times,he eats and few minutes later get sick. I called the vet and she is out for lunch :-:

I am begining to think my vet is not as good as i thought , i know now they are going to say lets operate and see if we find somethig inside, they did it with my 2 other cats . First x-ray and then saying may be the x-ray is not clear lets operate.

It means they have to put him under anaesthetic again and he looks so weak, i know something is wrong.

Please god let him be ok, i have lost two of my babes in less than a year.Sorry i am just so upset, dont know what to do?

I'm really pleased the news isn't bad   Dylan had thickened wall linings but I can't remember what they gave him   I'm wondering whether it was Cystaid but not 100% sure, I'll try and find out and let you know but it was a few years ago now, xxx

My brothers Maine Coon had a problem similiar and wwas on a special dry diet for ages and he just didnt put on weight or frow and was still very yound. Then my brither found they did a wet version and apparently he has now put on weight and is growing, he is still under 4yrs old but I thought how wonderful afyter all his problems.

Hi , i just got BOY back , the vet said, well showed me the x-rays and said his intestine is thicken, (The walls and inside) and because his gut is inflamed thats why he gets sick after eating .

He gave him steroid and antibiotic injection and said he thinks this should sort him, but if he still get sick then he would like to operate on him and look inside his abdomin to see if the x-ray has missed something ?. Have to take him back next wednesday.

While he was under anaesthetic he extracted 3 teeth aswell.

HE also said Boy needs to eat bland food so i got a box of royal canine ck/rice for him to see if i can change his diet .

Big  :thanks: from BOY and me to every one for their concern, means a lot to us. :Luv:

Fingers crossed all ok honey. Give the purrpot a big hug from me.

He really is wonderful this Boy. If he could purr you to death he would

Taking my BOY back to the vet tomorrow for x-ray/RIP sweetheart
« Reply #1 on: November 20, 2007, 15:17:19 PM »
I dont mention BOY much, he is my Black cat ,which has been with me for past 8 years, he is about 12 and for some reason i dont see him as a cat ;D dont know why ? Boy is just BOY like some one who lives with me  I dont know how to explain , he is lovely . Purrs for England, wakes me up few times a night for different reasons and loves other people and cats :Luv: When i met him in mayhew he wasnt like this they told me he needs a home with no men,no kids, no cats,no...... took few years for him to know he is safe here and loved and no harm will come to him, apparently the guy who had him used to kick him >:(, ??

Any how as you can see his picture he is a big cat and he hasbeen loosing weight and every one has been saying its good, but he also started drinking a lot and then g :'(etting sick every morning, i took him to the vets and he put him on antibiotics and did the full blood test.he said it could be bacteria ! The blood test are fine his liver, kidney , every thing is fine but he still get sick and drinks lots.

The reason i am so worried is becos my DD had the same symptoms last year , and it turned out to be pancreatic cancer :(

I called the vet back and tomorrow he is going for x-ray.
Please keep your finger crossed is not the big C.   :thanks: :'(
