A big thankyou from Boy and me for all the kind words and positive vibes :Luv:

He hasnt been sick in last two days which is a good sign? I am concern becos he shows no interest in food! I think i will know more on wednesday after his visit to the vet .  But he is back to his usuall purring which is good sign. :)

Hehas lost so much weight, but that started before all these confusion with tablets.

OH Thanks, he is looking better today, he had very little to eat and hasnt been sick :), still cant give him his tablets becos of not eating 3 times
but spoke to Caroline and she said him not drinking is not a problem , cats usually dont drink lots and they controll their urine , but him not eating concern her but i just have to monitor him and if he is sick a lot then take him to surgery if not then when i take him on wednesday for checkup and B12 injection(He is low in B12) Then she talks to sean and they decide if they should put him under anaesthetic and look inside.
I am just praying he doesnt get sick. :thanks:

I called Caroline this morning and told her he was sick last night, but when i collected him they told me he is doing well?? She said while the animals are in the vet becos they dont move around and rest all day they dont show all the signs and thats why sometimes they send them home to see how they get on?

I managed to give him 1/2 shiba at 6pm today and thats all his had since last night , he is just not interested in food or water! He slept all day and strange enough for the first time in 8 years he went to bedroom jump on the bed and slept on my side, now he is sleeping where Phoebe's towel is, which is very unusuall for BOY.

Caroline was going to speak to the surgery and get back to me to see if i should take him back on monday so they can look with the tube to see if they find something, i just have to wait and see what happenes? I will call her tomorrow.

Thankyou for asking about him

I am sorry Pav, maybe he needs the anti sickness jab.

He and his system have been under so much strain recently he prob needs time to recover.

Without readind all thro the thread again I cant remember what his original symptoms were that caused jim to need meds  when he was given the wrong ones, could this have a bearing on it?

My thoughts are with you and Boy

Thankyou every one for your kind thoughts.

My Boy is home tonight :yayyy:, if everything goes well he will go back for checkup on wednesday, but if he get sick again then they are going to use anaesthetic and look inside him .

I am going to spend sometime with him now and then join the auction, since he is back home he agreed to give me his wallet and asked me to start biding on his behalf, while he is resting. :Luv: He wants to help little kitty's. Mind you thats very generous of him ;

BTW , Message for Lexy, Boy has got a red one but he is not going to auction it, he doesnt want to get in to competition with you :naughty:x

Gill i think the reason they are sending him home is they change the drip every four days and they have done this twice ,( His paws must be sore)so now they think instead of puting a new one again its better to see how he is going to do without it, by now every thing is flushed out and becos all the other medication can be given oraly then hopefully he wont need the drip.

Yesterday Caroline told me they did a blood test again and still no sign of damage to his kidneys which is great , and now we have to waite and see if he has ulcers or not , but i dont think they want Boy out for weekend because they have 24 hours nurse and vet in surgery, i think at the moment there is nothing else they can do but giving him his medicines and the reason for weekend coming is they said its good time because i am at home and can watch him, also i agree with every one , i think its best if he come home and feel safe and loved, if he get worse again i will take him back on monday.?

BOY will be sooo happy to be home with you.  It must be so scarey for them in the hospital as they don't know what is happening or if we are ever coming back.  My Dragan wouldn't eat whilst hospitalised until I visited him, then he munched away at his food.  I do hope BOY does well at home and that he continues to recover.

I am glad your previous vet has at least taken full responsibility for the actions of his staff.  I know anyone can make a mistake but you did check back with them and this mistake has caused your poor cat to be so ill.

Good luck with whatever you decide and good luck with BOY over the weekend.

I do hope that Boy is Ok when he comes home cos he seems to be doing better.

Do they want him to come home cos they think he will be better there or cos they just want him out for the weekend? Sorry I just suspicious.

The old vet is right to be saying he is responsible and once Boy is better then will be the time to talk this thro with the old vet and make decisions.

Thanks for asking, i went to see him this evening, the nurse told me he got a bit sick after his food today but yesterday he was fine all day?

Tomorrow is one week he has been in surgery and having drips, they said they want to send him home tomorrow, so i can monitor him on wekend , all his medicine can be given oraly to him, the only thing he wont get is anti sickness injection. So hopefully he will be able to keep his food down .

I am so looking forward to bring him home , he looked as he had enough in there and there was a poor dogy there which wasnt well and was crying and that made him a bit nervious.

Also i spoke to my old vet yesterday, i had to call him becos Caroline said she has told him what's happened and he left two messages, he apologised for whats happened and said he will take full responsibility becos he is the vet , but he didnt know about me checking with the nurse about the tablets! He kept saying how sorry he is for what Boy and me have been through and he said if i want to put this in writing?
I told him we speak later, my priority is to get Boy back home and see that he gets better.

The problem is i have always been happy with this vet and he has always treated my cats well, and this mistake was made by the recieptionist and the nurse, i know its his surgery and he is responsible but this new place i dont know any one and i am not comfortable there, also i am concerned about Phoebe if i move her from the old place, i dont see how any one can deal with her?

Any how i think about this later.
I am praying BOY comes home and be on road to recovery.    :thanks:

I

Well I am so sorry to hear BOY is being sick.  I hope he managed to keep the biscuits down.  I also hope that you are looking after yourself at this terribly stressful time.  Don't let your old vet hassle you to ease his own conscience.  You concentrate on yourself and BOY right now and then deal with the vet (but perhaps someone would know if there is any time limit for complaining?).  Big hugs to you and BOY

It sounds like they are taking great care of Boy and only thinking about what is best for him
