I do hope you can stop him being sick, as that can't be very pleasant for him. I would be tempted to see if Caroline can see him tomorrow, and maybe give him some antisickness stuff - you also need to keep an eye on him for dehydration too, as that will make him feel worse. Good luck, and I do hope this is just a blip.

When he had his tests in RVC , they told me he has to eat Hills D/D venison tinned diet, and nothing else . No treats or dry food, but it is very hard, i didnt know about heating it up , thanks Linda i will try it tomorrow, might make it more pleasant for him.

Gill, i am taking him for his B12 injection on wednesday and he is taking his tyroid tablets, hasnt started the steroid yet.
Have to speak to Caroline , the surgery yesterday didnt know anything about it because the RVC , informed Caroline about the results and i have left a message for her.

I just want to say thankyou to every one who is giving me advise and all your kind words means so much. Thankyoux

Yes Kocka used to eat it off my finger, she wouldnt eat it any other way, so a feed would go on a s long as she wanted and oh boy it stinks  ;D

It also meant that she ate small amounts often and it kept well in the fridge. She used to like it ice cold too!

it might be something to ask Carloline when you next see her cos his poor tummy may not be able to cope with it but on the other hand it is very nutricious cos was designed for sick cats.

So sorry Pav

What are you currently feeding Boy?  Not sure if he can have it but Hills AD is very good for sick cats and they dont need to have lots of it to get the right level of nutrition.  You can also heat it or water it down, whatever is required.  Just thought it was worth mentioning

Poor Boy and I think the small feeding often is a good idea

Is he having another injection soon that may help? Afraid I have forgotten what treatment he is having now cos my head is a bit fuzzy.

Boy is so lucky to have someone who cares so much

Hi, just posted about Phoebe's vet trip :tired:, , but sadly Boy's been sick since yesterday and hasnt stopped.

Today i am feeding him in very small portions but every few hours, he has been sick twice, but  this evening he had his food and went back to bed and he hasnt been sick ., as long as he is eating and purring and not in any pain.

sorry, miunderstood the question. Yes the vet should be able to do it under light sedation as long as she is not too flighty ... I would certainly be asking them to try it

I just wantd to see if the vet can do it with the light sedative she is under or GA?

No way i try anything like this at home  with her :scared: or any cats.

Thankyou, i will ask them to do this, around her eye looks worse than yesterday.

the vet should do it as it requires sharp instrument near her eye. Also needs to be kept in sterile conditions and collected in same ...

Definitely a 'do not try this at home' sort of thing

could be it started as an allergy but then the skin developed a fungal infection as well - might be an idea to get skin scrapings done ...
Sorry b/c this skin scraping, does it have to be done under anaesthetic? Or its possible to do it while she is under the effect of Diazepam? Thats what i am giving her in the morning before taking her and hoping that they dont have to give her more sedative.

Pav, this time will go either very fast or be very slow for you both.  I am so very sorry and no words or hugs or anything can really make you feel better.  We all know how it feels and all anyone can really say is make the most of your time together and take lots of photos and remember the good times.

No its fine, i shouldnt have stoped the post, is just one hour a go i was saying he is well and even put on weight and then the call came, and was just too much.

I knew the day i took him to my own vet in November , its pancreas or intestine cancer , the signs were so much like DD,loosing weight and being sick and other signs i just cant think now.

IT's just no matter how much you prepare yourself and try to be logical and say oh he had a good life and all the rest, just doesnt work, i think i am not making sense.

Thankyou every one , it means a lot, your kind words.
