I agree with you Ruth.

The petiton and the translation we were getting was a valuable thing and I think it should be reposted.

Sorry Dawn I dont agree and I will not look at the stuff RSPCA does either cos most is just there as a shock thing.

I also  do not agree that the majority are being dictated to by the few, in fact I think its the other way round. It is quite easy to stop all the shock horror that upsets so many by putting a link..........so why isnt this being done?

Let's turn this thread around peeps. Michelle, please could you post the link again? I think it was valuable as a petition and I am sure if anyone wants to read it the warning in the title will be clear enough that they can choose whether or not to read it.   Let's get back to the purpose of this forum peeps.

once again the minority are dictating to the majority, once this thread is closed then they can pretend the problem isn't there.

Dawn the thread was started absolutley correctly and as it was a petition against cruelty then Michelle was so right not to post the picture and how can we sign a petition if we cant look at a thread cos a link can be used to see the cruelty if thats what people need  but others would like to be able to sign  and do not need visual stimulus to do this.

I can understand what you're saying Gill but as far as the picture that Mark posted, it's no worse than any you would see on an advert for the RSPCA or similar on TV or in the vets.

I will change the title of the thread now Gill.  The sad thing is in a lot of cruelty, horrible as it is, the message doesn't always hit home with a lot of people unless they see pictures.........a picture makes the animal in question real and people are then compelled to do something about it.

I feel that it's a shame that the forum is coming to this, we have now lost another member who I personally think is an asset to the forum.  I would have thought the Triangle and the title should be enough to deter peeps from looking if they feel they will find it too upsetting.

'please help the members decide wether or not to read the thread by popping a cruelty warning and avoid including any description of the actual cruelty in the title of your post.'

above are Tan's words regarding cruelty posts, why is this being ignored?

Jasmine you make a good point.  But you can see the difficulty we have as some people (like me) are distressed beyond belief by these things but others feel censored if they cannot draw attention to them to prevent their recurrence.

Thanks hun this is exactly why we have the warning symbols, a buddy list and a new board in now.  :Luv:

This was said at the beginning of the thread which had a traingle and I was fine with that but like Christine I think the picture should be removed as the original poster who made the thread said this:

I WILL NOT POST THE PICS AS VERY UPSETTING

 http://www.petitiononline.com/13031953/

Now that someone has deemed themselves to portray and act which was not intended will someone kindly change the title to say the picture is now in because I find this outside the the rules .

I wash my hands of the people who are intent of turning this forum into a side show  , I have not censored anything  but if you want mods and admin not to be able to look at petition threads because you insist on adding something that the thread originator  deliberately did not show, well congratulations cos I for one will not be looking at them.

I do not like being called ridiculous because I am against the showing of unnecessary pictures of cruelty, this in my opinion is degrading  both for the animal and also for the viewer.

It is truly disgusting.  I rather suspect that the perpetrator is relishing his notoriety, unfortunately.

I would be inclined to remove the picture of the poor poor dog and post up a link, myself.  I don't believe it's a question of censorship, it's just that the picture is so very upsetting, particularly for any youngsters who may be reading.

I think the picture is appropiate, I know it's not nice but we can't keep burying our heads in the sand.........this goes on, has gone on and will continue going on as long as people pretend it's not happening and do nothing about it.

Sorry Gill but I agree with Mark.

THIS IS WHAT I MANAGED TO TRANSLATE - IF ANYONE CAN DO IT BETTER PLEASE POST IT

It is inadmissible that the rights of the animals are trampled thus and that the "artist" had gathered it from the street to allow it to die moored with a rope to the wall of the galer à - to when it had the opportunity not to do it or even to save it.

“Según I knew to the dog murià ³ to dÃa following by lack of food. During inauguracià ³ n I knew that the dog was persecuted in the evening between the houses of aluminum and cartà ³ n of a district of Managua with santo name who Habacuc that could not need at the moment. 5 niños of which they helped in the capture received 10 bonds of cà ³ rdobas by his colaboracià ³ n. During exhibicià ³ n some people requested the freedom of the small dog, to which él artist rehusà ³. The name of the dog was (it was) Natividad, and I let myself to him die of at sight hunger of all, as if the death of a poor dog was a show medià tico impertinent in whom nobody does nothing mà s that to applaud or to watch disturbed. “

We can do nothing for this dog but if to treat of that the organizers of the Biennial Central American Honduras 2008 do not admit this "artist" maltratador of animals. I request you adhere to the above mentioned request and that you spread m Ã: s that you is possible this shameful act to gather the m Ã: ximo of signatures and to veto it in the biennial one.

OK NOW GILL ????????????
