So pleased it worked
I knew it did cos I saw it in action by the person who gave me the tip. She had been to evening classes to learn how to service her car and was told about it there
She was one of the women who used to come in upstairs to clean the place out after the 16yr old boys that had been installed in each room had turned it into a dump.......she also used to try to help me cos of all problems they caused.

The washing up liquid and sugar worked like a charm, so ta for that ... well, just to clarify, it worked like a charm at removing the oil but I fear the scrubbing has irreparably damaged my relationship with a certain black and white cat who is now sitting on the front wall with her back to me

Hope you managed to get the oil off! Defo washing up liquid.....the sugar works with washing up liquid on our hands for oil removal
(Gilly must of been scrubbing a few mechanics)

the sugar acts as an abrasive ... like the apricot seeds in Apri Apricot scrub!

OMG, Gill, that could be a How Clean Is Your House tip!
Thanks, I shall go and try it now! I'll try and report back later even if I lose a few fingers

Most important thing is she doesnt lick it. You can give Pro Kolin if she has.
Have fun cleaning her
Gill, why add the sugar?

Anyone know the best and safest way to remove oil from a cat's fur? Minnie only went out for 2 hours yesterday and managed to return with a dead frog, a dead mouse, and oil all down her back and on the tips of her ears .... and just yesterday the vet said that seven is a lovely age for a cat as they become less mad ... yeah right
