Tatty says thank you to everyone for your lovely comments  :shy:

:wow: he is gorgeous, looks a bit like MR TRAMP the feral i am trying to get to come in , his white whiskas and marking, of course MR TRAMP white markings now looks brownish, but once he is cleaned up i am sure he will look as handsome as Tatty :Luv: ;D

I hope that you manage to persuade MR TRAMP to come in.  I think that he already looks totally gorgeous, and I'm sure that he would look even more gorgeous (if that were possible) when he finds out what a nice warm and cosy home is like  ;D

Sylvia i just love your cats  :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2: can we see pics of the others pleaseeeeee :wish:

Hows Tabs doing?

Specially for you, here are a few more recent pictures of my other kitties:

Gizzy

Tommy

Sweepy

Tabs

Suki

Sorry that the one of Suki is not great, I don't seem to have quite as many of her as I would like, as she doesn't seem to like going outside very much.  I will be implementing a Suki Stalking Mission with the camera ( :pic:) over the next few days to see if I can remedy this.

Tabs is at about the same stage now, that we were with Tatty about 6 months ago.  Initially, he was rather aggressive to everyone, and was living separately in our 2 spare bedrooms.  The introductions have been carried very slowly, and we have reached the stage where he will sit in the living room with Tatty, Sweepy and Gizzy quite happily.  Whenever Tabs sees Tommy or Suki, he is still rather unpredictable, and we have to keep an eye on him, to make sure that all of them have the space to escape from each other when they feel that they need to, as he has tried to attack them in the past.  :scared:  When Tabs has the freedom of the house, we always need to know exactly where everyone is, so that we can diffuse any situations before they get out of hand.  :tired:  Tabs has only been with us for about 5 months so far, so we will just keep working at settling him in for however long it takes - I know that we will get there in the end.  :)

One Year Since Tatty Came Indoors
« Reply #1 on: November 05, 2007, 23:15:47 PM »
It has been 1 year today, since Tatty first stayed with us overnight.  :wow:

He had been calling round for late breakfast, late lunch and late supper for a while, and would always run away if anyone walked into the kitchen.  However, the cat-flap was set to In-Only, while we were trying to get Sweepy in, and when Tatty came in for an unusual early supper, he got trapped indoors.  As it was bonfire night, and we had our suspicions that he might be a stray, we decided that it would be safer for him to stay indoors, rather than be outside with all the fireworks going off.  He ran and hid under the dining room table, and spent the entire night there.  Our Gizzy joined him under the table when the fireworks outside got too noisy for her.

Tatty left us the next day, when the cat-flap was opened, and we didn't see him for about 24 hours  :(.  Then he was popping back in to visit us for his usual meals.  It was about 2 or 3 weeks after this that we trapped him indoors again, took him to the vet to be scanned for a microchip, registered him with the local CP branch as a Found cat, posted his details in all the local vet surgeries, and put up Found Cat notices in the local shops.  No-one ever contacted me about him.  As some of you may remember, he was found to be FIV+ when taken in to the vet to be castrated, and he was also suffering from flu.

He has changed from being a very scared and quite poorly kitty, into a real cuddlebum  ;D, and the 5th of November last year was the start of all that.  It hasn't happened overnight, in fact it has taken about 10 months for Tatty to be integrated into our furry family, but it has been worth the wait  :).  I just wanted to post one picture of what he was like in December last year, together with a few more recent ones, to show what a difference there has been  :Luv: :Luv2::
