Have a little stray I have been feeding my garden, opened the door tonight and he flew in terrified. Didn't have the heart to put him out again so he is in my daughters bedroom with a big bowl of chicken!! We only took in another stray in August but am trying to convince my hubby another wouldn't hurt!!!

I hate fireworks make them stop!

My ginger boys (Bobby the cat and Charlie the dog) aren't in the slightest bit bothered, but the girls aren't happy. Buffy the black cat is hiding in her new place behind the chair, and Reba my black dog is just barking her head off and running round whinging wiht her hackles up (despite very loud tv and 40 quids worth of DAP plugged in and round her neck on a collar)

Next year I am going to try and find a holiday in the middle of nowhere in a firework free zone. Bah humbug.

We have been quite lucky out here in the country as Rain has put a damp squib on tonights major display and the only bad reaction from our mob has been jazz the JRT who is currently in her hidey hole behind the couch and the domestics are under our duvet and the ferals and Sky can't see any problem that a squeaky toy can't help!

Loads going off here tonight (all horrible loud ones too) and it was noisy when the big display at the beach was going on. My lot are being a bit useless! Are they busy worrying about me, cuddling me and spraying a human version of Feliway around to calm me down because I get really jumpy with the bangs? Are they hell! Bilbo's too busy watching the fireworks and Boopy's fast asleep so just sitting on my own with a duvet wrapped around me going 'eek' when I hear the loud bangs

Misty does not seem that concerned, he looked quickly towards the direction of the window when one went off
earlier, but now doesn't bat an eye lid

Ither the fact that this is his 16th guy fawkes night or ma double glazed
window's are doing the trick

There are some flats with a terrace about 50 yards from my garden. They are having a mini display. I don't think they are too impressed when I turn the floodlight on

Fireworks much more evident tonight not least the huge display at Saltwell Park along the road (forgot about it) which is very load and pretty but the cat are still only having a look around when a bad one goes off and have yet to leave their sleeping spots

When I went to work this morning there were fireworks all round the grounds of my flat.. right near my

car too.

I've finally caught the horrid cold my husband has had for two weeks, so I took the day off sick and we normally go to a games thing every monday but I got out of it tonight.

So I'll play some loud music to annoy the folks next door and that should also help with the fireworks.

I am no fan of fireworks (ban them) and tonight I will still be out calling for my little lost girl. I hope she is hiding herself somewhere safe - she has never been out on firework night before or I hope that if someone has taken her in - they are keeping her safe.

I'm hoping that most of the displays etc took place at the weekend, and that tonight will not be too bad.

I have to go out for a few hours leaving Max on his own, but I will make sure all the lights are on, and leave the tv on as well for him so he shouldn't be startled by any noises.

The night before last wasn't too bad but last night was horrendous, huge explosions that went on for ages originating from across the road. Alfie and Suzie ended up under the bed but Frankie was okay. I turned up the tele in the living room and switched on the one in the bedroom but they were so loud that there was no way that I could drown them out, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Been loads here the last two nights and Bertie has done very well considering in previous years he's been totally spooked and trembling in the bottom of the wardrobe. Well, he was doing okay until one landed very close to the house with a huge bang and it made me jump - that spooked him!

Doing fine here - Ellie sat on the arm of the chair watching them last night ! Daisy has been behind the sofa a bit but not really too worried and the other three sleeping through it all. It is so strange as Bubbles hates the noise of the washing machine and tumble dryer and gets really stressed, the three youngsters hate it if I cough or sneeze but fireworks no problem !

For twom years we have had none and this is second night they have started and can hear them in internal room and I am fully double glazed.

All 4 cats are in and they dont seem to notice, but them its not loud and close like in London................just going to look cos they sound close! They were, new peolle up the road and they have bonfire.

All cats are in, couldnt find Sasa but she behind me in her secret hiding place

there seem to be more of thos whining ones out tonight - maybe they're the garden ones. There was more booming, cracking and at one point quite a tuneful whistling last night.

these whining ones are the ones my cats dislike.

Yep, thats right - for ONE night only!!! - they are going off again here now. It was awful last night, but only George was a bit concerned about them and hid under the duvet! - which is progress for him, coz usually he's crawling around practically on his tummy really distressed - valerian drops are working

None of the others are bothered - kitten Gwyn hasnt batted an eyelied!!

I had intended to bring my lot in early anyway, after Bramble wouldn't come in last night, but when I heard the fireworks at 2 o'clock in the afternoon I shut them in at the first opportunity.
