I am afraid Oliver is more accustomed to being called "pancetta", which means Italian bacon but also a nickname for a pot belly, due to his ample tummy.
Oooh I might need to use that one, I usually call Rio 'tubs', or mummy's favourite boy.

Milly is known as Milly-Moo, or the Mooster.  Or mummy's favourite girl...

There are also "Sancho Pancia" (pancia =, again, belly), "Ciccia" (short for salciccia = sausage), or its variation "Cicciotto", "Doughboy" (from the infamous pudgy white mascot of Pilsbury), and during the extremely sweet moment like when we are snuggling up together with him purring profusely, he is "Honeypoo" :Luv:

Furry nicknames?
« Reply #1 on: November 02, 2007, 15:13:08 PM »
Inspired by the how did your cat(s) get their name(s) thread, I was wondering whether anyone wanted to own up to their kitty nicknames and reasons for 'em (if there is one)

Jenny is Jennybean (sounds like ...) or Grumpy ('cos she's really getting on now - she still sticks to me like glue, but grumbles away if I make her move up so I can have my sofa seat back and not have to sit on the cushion join - narsty selfish owner I am lol)

Snowy is Snowybean (just because it kinda matches and it was just her and Jenny in my furry family for over 10 years) or "miserable cat" when she runs away from me (she was never socialised as a kitten and is very much "attention on MY terms" - it always takes a few days for me to be forgiven flea drops or worming)

Molly is Mollymops or Mollymush, sometimes nortie tortie (or when she's forgotten how to use the catflap or falls off the back of the sofa, 'Stupid')

Rug is usually Ruggybear or Ruggles, sometimes Hairya*** (I don't know why the previous owners of my house got a NAVY carpet - they had young children! - but it's too good to throw out and I can't really afford to replace - it doesn't go well with a white/ginger/grey longhaired cat though ...)

and all of them are occasionally "b****y cat" if they trip me up on the stairs or present me with hairballs or can't be caught to go to the V-E-T
