You'll probably remember me posting about my neighbour, who I reported to the RSPCA due to his neglect of his poor border collie, who ended up being taken back to the rescue centre and then being PTS. Well, I cannot believe what happened today. Minnie has been acting a bit oddly for a few days - not wanting food at every meal and not wanting to stay in the house all night - and I've been worried she's poorly. Today, she dashed out of the front door as I was leaving for work and went straight up this neighbour's front path, so I went to investigate - and on his front step was a bowl of cat food! No wonder she hasn't been seeming hungry! When I got home, I went straight round to ask him not to feed Minnie and explained that thinking there might be food in his garden is making her want to stay out at night when really she should be indoors because her blindness in one eye makes her more vulnerable in the dark than most cats. He didn't apologise - just said he didn't think I was looking after her anymore as she seems to be outdoors a lot, so he thought he'd better try and take her in!!! Apparently he quite fancies having a cat now ... I am LIVID and told him in no uncertain terms that he shouldn't have a pet after what happened to the dog, and that most people who want a cat go and find one rather than stealing someone else's!!! I then emailed my local CPL lady, who I know really well, and told her not to home any cats with him! I know, I'm a stroppy cow
