Well folks, I couldn't wait and have just come off the phone with Mrs Lovat... there's good and possibly bad news, so here we go.
the couple arrived and and met Tabs and thought she was lovely, Bundy, though, wasn't in the house so they went outside to call him and he didn't come. This went on for a while and the couple decided to go get something to eat in the hope that he would have returned by the time they got back. Calling Bundy continued until the neighbour whose garden backs on to Mr Lovats asked who they were calling..
you aren't going to believe this next bit.... Apparently Bundy has been going to be fed at the neighbours house all his life, but until about 18 months ago, which coincided with the birth of Mr Lovats little boy, the neighbour had a very yappy little terrier who would bark at Bundy. The neighbours lost the terrier around the same time as baby Lovat was born, so Bundy decided to move in with the neighbour almost full time and that will account for Mr Lovat thinking he was preferring to stay outdoors most of the time, when in actual fact he was sleeping across the back on somebody else's bed. It has been decided because Bundy is happy with the neighbour and has lived there all his life ( which sounds like it's now 10 years not 11 or 12) the neighbour wants to keep him. This scenario creates ([possibly) the bad news. The couple from Huddersfield wanted 2 cats so they are going to think about it and get back to Mr & Mrs Lovat to let them know if they still want to adopt Tabs. Mrs Lovat doesn't think they will, because of wanting 2, so I'm afraid we will have a few more hours of uncertainty until we here from them.
