Thats what the vet's receptionist said - nice of them to offer the extra night. They don't charge us for overnight care  :Luv:
Also buys Sharon some time to sort bed spaces out  :evillaugh:

If it comes to it, she can stay in one of my guest rooms until there is space - just worried that Willow will worry her from outside the door - but no way she is going back to an outdoor pen  :)

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

I just spoke to the vets and they said she has come round from the anaesthetic but thought it would be better if she was kept in another night in the warm as she is not 100%. In the meantime, Sharon is going to speak try to get her a space with an indoor fosterer (may mean swapping over with a young healthy, confident cat  :evillaugh: )

The lady that wanted to see her yesterday is going to see another cat, Marcus tonight. If she takes him, Alice can have his space (Lovely warm house, no other animals, in a room with a heated floor  :) with Paula who will dote  :Luv2: )

Unfortunately, she will have to go back to the foster pen. Two of my cats are territorial bullies otherwise I would bring her here  >:(

I just called and they said she is in the recovery room and I need to call back at 3pm to see if she is OK to collect. They said they won't have the biopsy results back from the lab until after the weekend so she will have to go back to the cattery for the time being. I wish she could be at home instead. It makes me feel terrible seeing Kylie stretched out in front of the log fire - I just wish Alice could join her  :(

Some worrying news  :(

Went to collect Alice for her routine jabs this afternoon. When I got there, Sharn said Sharon had called and a lady wanted to see her but didn't have transport (the cattery is rural) so would I be able to to take her there after her vet trip. We thought I could do a homecheck at the same time and if everything went well and the lady had all she needed, possibly even leave her there. She has been in an outside pen for months without a single viewing  :(

The vet checked how her abcess was healing. I told him what we planned to do so he said he would clean up her wound as there was matted fur etc. I went to the car to get her card that I had forgotten. When I got back, the vet had cleaned her up but showed me the wound and there is still a lump  :(. He said there could be secondary infection or something else that I've forgotten the name of, basically a reaction to the antibiotics or something else. He said there is a chance she could have a tumour and wanted to keep her in for a biopsy tomorrow  :'(

Poor Alice - she has had such a rotten time. 1st living under a car until someone reported her. Then months in an outside pen where she wouldn't go inside - although she has recently. We were so hopeful that she would be rehomed today. The vet said it wouldn't be a good idea for someone to view her just in case  :'(

Wish this little girl well. I went in feeling really happy but just wanted to cry when I got outside  :'(

You can't lock the flap - also the litter tray is in the bottom part of the pen. I think it would only upset her  :(

I spoke to Sally about Alice. She said there are a couple being rehomed this weekend so they will try to Jiggle spaces so Alice is in a home with human company. She may end up at Paula's where she would have a huge bathroom with underfloor heating  :Luv: (hope so  ;D )

Took Alice to the vets today to have her wound looked at as its still not healed properly. No gunk but still a bit sore looking  :( - He gave her a shot of Convenia and her 1st jabs. The problem is, She still won't go in the warm bed area and Sharn is worried now it is getting cold. She craves human attention. Apart from crying in the car, she purred non stop in the vets, despite there being 2 dogs and 2 pups in the waiting room. She even purred while she had her temperature done and jabs  :Luv: - She pooed in the cage on the way back - and it's 8 miles

Anyway, I don't know whether to contact Catchat in Sharon's absence - She is going to get very cold. Sharn keeps trying to put her in the warm area but she run straight out again  :(

Juno is still there and he is such a happy & affectionate boy - Sharn said he is definately part bengal with his pointed face. He hasn't even had one person look at him  :( - He looks a bit like Dawn's Cheese  ;D - If someone saw him in the flesh, they would fall in love I know it but being black its hard for him (don't know why, I will have black every time  :Luv: )

Edit - I had forgotten you said Juno looks like Cheese before Dawn  - How weird

I went to take homing pictures today. I keep calling the tortie (or calico?) Elsie but thats wrong. Sharn told me, then I met Sharon this afternoon and she told me again but can't remember. Anyway, Juno is approx 8 months and a motor purrer and friendly with people but attacked a rottweiler (honestly!)
The girl is approx 7 years according to the vet but we think she is quite a bit older. She had a nasty abcess under her chin which has been seen to although still looks quite sore. Very affectionate old girl probably thrown out for being poorly  :'(
