RIP Oscar, safe and sound at the Bridge until your Mum comes to collect you

Remember Our Love

I was chosen that day
I'm learning to fly
the world took me away,
but please don't you cry

And I chose you today
to try and be strong
so please don't you cry
and don't say that I'm gone

When you're feeling alone
just remember our love,
I'm up near the stars
looking down from above.

Remember our love
In a moment you'll see
that I'm still here beside you
when you're thinking of me.

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss, and sadly the majority of us do know what you are going through. Things do get easier in time, even though it doesnt seem like it now, it is a lot harder to accept when things are so sudden though. While being with him was the hardest thing for you, I am very glad you could do that final thing for him, he was a lucky boy to have had such a good owner. RIP little one.
Please spay your cat

Hi Julie and  :welcome: to Purrs,

I posted on CatChat about dear Oscar.  As everyone has already said we all understand how hard it is to lose a special friend but we are all for you and sometimes talking to "strangers" is alot easier than talking to friends and family.

Oscar was a stunning looking fella  :Luv:

RIP Oscar xxx

Hello and   :welcome:  to Purrs

I am so sorry to hear about Oscar, I know just what you are going through.

If it should be that I grow frail and weak,
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then will you do what must be done,

For this - the last battle - can't be won.
You will be sad I understand,
But don't let grief then stay your hand,
For on this day, more than the rest,
Your love and friendship must stand the test.

We have had so many happy years,
You wouldn't want me to suffer so.
When the time comes, please, let me go.
Take me to where my needs they'll tend,
Only, stay with me until the end.

And hold me firm and speak to me,
Until my eyes no longer see.
I know in time you will agree,
It is a kindness you do to me.

Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I have been saved.
Don't grieve that it must be you
Who has to decide this thing to do;

We've been so close - we two - these years,
Don't let your heart hold any tears.

Take care Oscar   :RIP:

We had to put our cat Oscar to sleep very suddenly a week and a half ago. We knew he wasnt well but really didnt expect that he was as il as he was. Its been suck a shock very hard to deal with. I still expect to see him by the door in the morning wanting to be fed but theres just silence now. I miss him SO much........... I watched the light go out of his eys when the vet put him to sleep and that is the hardest thing i have ever had to do. I held him like a baby as we brought him home in the car and we put him on the floor and stroked him. We buried him in our garden that night. Its going to take a long time for this to heal. We will miss him for the rest of our lives.
