hI Joanne, i know exactly what you mean,my darling Wizzy disappeared almost 14months ago now and i still follow up any finds of silver tabbies anywhere in the country ,i check the lost and found reg, every week and have just done a load more posters to try another sweep of the area but this time im extending it to about  a mile away and all the rescues and vets still have my details, i will like you never give up until i know what happened to him, even tho people say i should,

Hi, sorry to hear that there is still no news about Bailey. Please keep going - I know it is hard and you are probably fed up with hearing it - but it will be worth it .

Take care of yourself and enjoy your Christmas.

No...still no news on Bailey, i recently contacted stubbington ark, and i asked about the incoming strays they have, and as i haven't recieved any information about any cats that may have been Bailey, i asked if i needed to phone in, but they said they have someone check regularly every 2 to 3 times a week, but still no sign of him, and i'm still not giving up on him!!

Just recieved an email today saying they have all those details down, so that means they do have the full description of him down properly, they also checked at the shelter again and said there are no cats matching his description there at the moment :( but they said he is still down on there records which is good :)

Thanks Le Chat Noir, i'm not giving up hope on Bailey quite yet!

I recently recieved an email not so long ago and this man described to me what happened when he lost his cat in the area, and how he came across his cat several months later, apparently an old lady thought his cat was a stray and took him in, its those stories that make me think my Bailey is out the somewhere...anyway i told him to keep his eyes open for any tabby cats matching Baileys description so fingers crossed, there are people out there still keeping an eye out for him

Claire i'm sorry to hear Sally still hasn't come home, i no how distressing it can be...last christmas whilst he was gone i felt as though i didn't want anything for christmas all i wanted was for him to come home, not that i've given up now... but i just hope some one may of taken him in, i hate to think he is outside in all this cold....we just need to keep high hopes of that our cats are out there somewhere

Wishing you lots of luck, you will find Sally soon x x

No, still no hope! :(

i've tried looking around in wider search areas, and we have contacted stubbington ark but still no sign of him, and now a cat that lives over the back of us has gone missing as well, a tabby long hair about the same age as Bailey, when he went missing (8 months) and thats been missing nearly a month now, i'm getting a feeling some one has stolen him maybe?  :shify:

Also Yvonne hope you find Spike, he will be out there some where don't give up, best of luck x x

Bailey is absolutely gorgeous not surprised that you miss him and best of luck with Phoebe also.

My Spike has been absent since Wednesday - starting to get a little concerned about him now.
They are a right pain in the neck when they decide to go walk about!

Hi, sorry to hear that Bailey is still missing after all this time. I know that it can get very stressful and upsetting at times when the furry one has gone missing. My cat Phoebe has been gone for a month and sometimes I am at my wits end trying to think about where she can be. Do write to all the vets you can with Bailey's details - try to phone them each week if you can - you never know. I have done this in my area and always try to ring all of them each week - I do not worry about them getting fed up with me - it might even encourage them to be helpful just to get rid of me. Very best of luck - keep us posted

Also sorry to hear you've lost your little Phoebe, and thanks for the reply i intend to carry out my search for Bailey and also phone around the local vets, thanks for the advice and yes i will keep you all posted, also keep me posted about Phoebe best of luck, shes out there some where

it is worth checking the surrounding areas because cats have been known to hitch lifts in cars / vans.

In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

Our Bailey has been gone for over a year now, and i've seen quite a few news reports talking of cats that have been found miles away, well my question is how bigger search do we go to find our cats, i live in hampshire but should i be looking in surrounding areas such as Kent etc :/
