Yep, 6 months old. They were born on the 3rd of April!

Daisy's fine today, well she's lying round a bit more than usual but she's not as wobbly on her feet as she was all day yesterday.

Great they are back home and 6 months old , never LOL.

The operation for a girl is a bit more than for boys so she probably had more anesthetic so takes longer to come round properly. She should be back to normal within 24hrs and moaning about her collar. Isnt life unfair  >:(

Just looked at time of your post, maybe she was done later than the boys too.

She should be fine tomorrow morning and if not back to the vet to find out why, I think.

Thanks for the info, MM!

How long does it usually take for girls to come round properly? Daisy's still out of it, she brightened up for a bit, just cuddled into me and gave me a headbutt, but she's out again now and hasn't moved an inch for a few hours. The boys seem completely back to normal.

Neutered cat food has less calories in it. Or you can just feed less of your normal food!
Its because neutered cats have more sedentary lifestyles than an entire cat so are more prone to weight gain.

Yeah I know that, Yvonne, I just wondered what is different about it compared to normal food that makes it especially for neutered cats.

Aww, I hope Fergus and Polly get on ok, Emma. Daisy's a bit brighter again now. At least it'll all be over and done with, I've been dreading my 3 going for weeks.

Hi Karen,

Glad to hear your babes are back home and are settling well. My 2 are in tomorrow, I won't hijack your thread, but probably like Daisy, my little Polly will come off worse for wear than Fergus!

They were ready to come home just after 3. The boys are fine, you wouldn't think they'd had anything done, but Daisy's still right out of it. For an hour after I brought her home she wouldn't settle and was just walking about wobbling all over the place. She's asleep on my bed now and has settled down. She's got a plastic collar on, her wound looks really sore. Meeko and Belle had some of those coley fillets I saw mentioned here.

They gave me free dental packs with some kind of food in them, and free samples of Hills for Neutered cats - why would they need different food now they're neutered?

Thanks for the good wishes, everyone :)

Hi Karen,

Let us have an update when they get home.

I am constantly thinking about Homer - when and if.

Hope they are ok and in good spirits by now.

(((hugs))) to your babies!!  And may they never realise what really happened to them... ;D

Oliver will need to do the same soon, and every time this discussion comes up and we talk about it, he stops and stares at us with a seriously worried look on his face, as if to say "gee guys, what the heck are you going to do to me??? :("  Skipping a meal before going in will be a drama, too, he is gonna be reaaaallllly happy about that... I really hope he will not be too traumatised... :scared:

I'm sure they will be fine Karen. I am amazed when you see them running around on the same day. Still a good excuse to give them a special treat tonight. Well I'm sure you do anyway - so an extra special treat  ;D

Awww bless them. The time has gone so fast, doesn't seem that long since they were first born. I'm sure they'll be fine and it won't be long before they are home and wanting lots of treats for their dinner  :)

The kittens are being neutered as we speak. Surprisingly they were really good all night with not being fed. They're being microchipped and having their ears cleaned while they're there, I've got the stuff from the vet and tried myself but I can't do it very well. Tigger's wandering about like a lost sheep looking for them lol. I've to ring at 3 to see how they got on, and all being well I can pick them up straight after  :Luv:
