The AARU are always after volunteers http://www.aaru.org.uk/getinvolved.htm

CP Nottingham is another one near you:  : www.cp-nottingham.org.uk

Here is the link to rescues in al of Notts:  http://www.catchat.org/adoption/notts.html

I've emailed AARU to help out.   Loving the fact that from next month working set hours as I can help out properly now with cat charities.

Kirsty,

Did you manage to find somewhere to volunteer?
In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

Hi Kirsty and  :welcome: to Purrs.

To check out the rescues in your area and get their contact details, visit www.catchat.org (or click on the friendship logo at the bottom of the Purrs pages, it is a link).  On the left hand side there you will find a link to a pretty definitive list of rescues in your area.

Hi, well I'm situated in Long Eaton : Nottingham / Derbyshire border (also a little bit of Leicestershire nearby) and I'm looking to help volunteer.

I have a car, so can help with transport etc ... am free most evenings and weekends, as well as a couple of days in the week when i'm not at uni. (Until I have to get a job this is !)

I've been looking to help volunteer for a long time (I'm now studying Zoology at Uni), but don't know how to find rescues etc that may need me. I can probably help out at the local vets but I thought somewhere else may need me more. I have recently only just moved back here from Scarborough so don't know if any rescue organisations etc... exist but if anyone knows of any I'd appreciate a point in the right direction!

Thanks, Kirsty x
