I have to agree that a/d does seem to be the preferred choice of a lot of cats i`ve seen! The first vets i worked in always used liquivite and they didn`t stock a/d but it just doesn`t appear as palatable in my opinion.

I have never had any luck with getting cats to take Liquivite, so I always keep a/d in stock, have had more success with that, and you can still syringe it.
Please spay your cat

fifty is really hot. I was in the 40 degree spa at Hanmer springs and that was so hot there was a sign warning you not to stay there more than 15 minutes (I stayed 30) due to risk of heat exhaustion and drowning. As it was snowing at the time, it seemed the best place to be...

The girl admitted it was her own cat so must have been accidental. Had it been a 60 degree wash, there would have been no chance. I'm surprised it didn't drown as it is - lucky fluke. I always check the machine before I run it.

when I did my work experience at the vet last year I had to feed a cat that had a broken jaw after a rta with this stuff, it turns very liquid and you can syringe it, we were feeding him through the throat - I better just add I wasn't on my own i had a vn with me

We used this for Hissy Holly during her demise to FIV and we found that heating it for 10 secs in the microwave was better received than cold

Some of ours love it usually the well ones and the ill ones take it or leave it but will take it warm over cold

Has anyone tried this? - I am thinking of getting some in for Clapton when he is off his food.
http://www.liquivite.co.uk/

Just replied on my poorly cats thread Mark - but it is good stuff, because its meat based and no cereals. It was Suzie I got some for - bought a tin from a cat show just in case, and it was the one thing I could get her to accept a few days before she was pts. I think it used to be more popular than it is now - probably because the bigger pet food companies bought out stuff like A/D and other convalescent foods. I think its good because it would be less likely to cause runs/tummy upsets than cereal based stuff.

http://www.liquivite.co.uk/

One of the endorsements said her cat went through a 50 degree wash for 45 minutes and they didn't think she would survive.

Others say elderly cats were saved due to it.

Anyone tried it?
