Glad you all had a great time.  Claire please thank Pete for his efforts eating all those mince pies - I'm sure it must have been a great struggle for him

Must say Pete left here looking very happy and well fed

He he nearly there Claire, OH is called Sam!

Had a lot of fun on saturday, loved Anastasia (soooo wanted to take her home, along with Ivan the feral!)

Claire did a great job of being Hostess, there was not an empty glass in sight! I won a bottle of wine on the Raffle, and donated a cat bed as one of the raffle prizes. Was disappointed not to have won the cake  :P OH was eyeing it up all night!

Was lovely to meet Ems, Christine, T and Claire (and respective partners!) I bought some lovely christmas stockings for the girls, and my sis bought a treat ball and a fluffy cat toy. Have to do it again sometime! (will have bigger pockets to steal Anastasia this time!!!!)

Thanks to everyone that either attended in person or in spirit as many purrs members were kind enough to donate their entrance fee even if they couldn't come. My other half Pete took it upon himself to eat your quota of mince pies and drink your beer and mulled wine!!  I was the designated driver!

It was lovely to see Ems and Jon again and meet Mojo, her sister and Tom (I think - sorry I had too many names in my head on Saturday!).  It was especially nice that we had visitors all the way from the South - Christine and Nick - it was great to finally put faces to names. Thank you for making the long journey and for helping supervise and coordinate the drinks.  It really was a big help.

As always - Teresa seems to give the impression that I did all this on my own, which is DEFINTELY not the case, for one thing, she is always right by my side when we are getting organised (along with Rob) and works harder than me as she still has the cats to look after, and also this was a team effort through the attendance of so many great people who were very generous and happy to part with their cash.

All the cats enjoyed the attention, especially Anastacia, who moved from lap to lap and Buster who enjoyed supervising the proceedings!

Claire xx

P.S Must start planning the next event - watch out for something around Valentines day.....I have some ideas that might just work, but I haven't told Teresa yet!!!

Well Done Claire and Teresa!

What a lovely night we had  ;D Sorry that we had to sneak off early off but Jon had a prior engagement so we had to hot foot it back to Liverpool! It was great to see Claire and Teresa again and to meet Christine and Mojo.

Christine - I'm guessing that you managed to extract to beautiful Anastacia from your shoulder? Or did she fit into your bag?  ;D

The girls special stockings are hidden away ready for Christmas, and Jon is offficially bowled over by Pumpkin!

Just wish i could have had more of that fab mulled wine, but i was driving later on so i couldn't  :tired:

Thanks Again

Have just come back from Paws Inn.  What a successful evening and how great to meet Claire, Ems and Mojo there.  Not to embarass you, but what lovely people you are!

Teresa, thank you so much for your welcome and hospitality.  I have already commissioned the food mats and have my other purchases sitting ready for Christmas  ;)

Have just finished doing the rounds, the cats were all told to have an early night and catch up on their beauty sleep for the big night tomorrow; 10pm and we have wide awake kittens playing like crazy and imagining its Christmas tomorrow.Florence and Megan want to know why there are Christmas Crackers everywhere and as for Minimopsical she is going through yet another maternal phase and seems to be teaching 3 certain kittens all she knows including pulling tongues  she thinks she is the bees knees since she was given charge of Aurora, Roshan and Selene a few days ago.Just sorry you will miss the fun Gill.

On a quick look I've discovered it would take 1 bus, 4 trains (2 each way), 3 taxis ( 2 each way then a taxi home as the bus services won't run that late).

Normally I'd get my husband to drive but I knew he would be tired and by the sounds of it he now has the flu.

So instead of spending all that money on travel I'll be making a donation. When (and if) my husband gets better we'll have to make the trip to see all of T's babies.

Just a quick reminder that the social event of the year is THIS WEEKEND!!!!

I really hope that as many of you as possible can make it.

We have home made mince pies lined up and lovely mulled wine plus as much fruit cake as you can eat!!!  And all for only £5 entry!!

We will be having a raffle on the night, plus a quiz and the chance to win one of Teresa's legendary Christmas cakes in Guess the Weight.  It not only looks gorgeous and has been lovingly iced, but it tastes even better!!! There will also be a room of goodies to buy from handmade Xmas crackers and cards to catnip mice.

Either PM or email Teresa to get directions and give us some warning on numbers (we wouldn't want to run out of mincepies, would we!!  ;))

All the cats are ready and waiting to welcome you to the Inn.  Buster is practicing his snogs under the mistletoe as we speak.  They are a little wet, but definitely worth it !!

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it this year due to being on holiday in Scotland but I am making some cards for Teresa to sell at and posting them to Paws Inn before 24th November.

I'll be there in spirit and hope the event goes well :)  Buster's birthday bash two years ago was a cracking good night out and everyone really enjoyed it (as well as it raising much needed funding for Paws Inn feline residents)

Good luck Teresa and Rob and I'll hopefully see you both at some time near Christmas.

Carolyn
