Yep, PSP 11 it is. I'm still finding my way around it myself!
With that pic I coloured in everything I didn't want, leaving the eyes, nose and tongue, then used the magic wand tool on the coloured in bit, chose invert from the Selection menu and then copy from the Edit menu. Then I went to the black & white version of the pic and chose Paste as New Image, then used the move tool to place it in the right position. Easy!

ahhhhhhhh now all is explained. Great cropping by the way!!
Cropping makes everything easier. Cats often seem to be worth photographing just after chucking food or litter about, so I try and do a bit of "virtual vacuuming" and cropping saves time!  ;D

hey, how do you do that 'everything monochrome except the eyes and tongue' thing?? It is a great effect!! Presumably you have software??
I use Paint Shop Pro. I cut out the bits I want in colour and put them on top of a black & white version of the pic - it's easy, but takes time.
Here's a pic that makes him look braver than he is - I think he's even a bit scared of Sonia!

No brushing at all. he won't put up with it!
I will have to get him used to a bit of brushing, in case in the far future he can't manage to groom himself properly, but for now he manages very well by himself. (He's only 19 months old, or thereabouts.)

I don't seem to have many pics here of my cats other than Sonia, so here's a few assorted ones of Pimpernel, taken recently.
