WHAT A GREAT ENDING !!

lets hope she isnt pregnant - best take her off to the vets to be checked over and booked in to be spayed and chipped.

Makes you wonder about the other cat - Wonder if he has an owner looking for him ?
Have you checked with local vets and put up posters ?

Hi all ! sorry haven't been about for a while! I just thought id let you all know i had yet another phone call today saying they had found my baby! all disheartened again i reluctantly went round their house. I burst into tears when they bought the cat in the kitchen it was my puddles!!! absolutely over the moon! She has grown after 4 months but its definitely her! The lady was gutted though she wanted to keep her, But a large bottle of wine soon cheered her up!!! She told me that pudds had been living in her alley way for a month raiding the bin bags and its about 3 miles away from our house so had a good walk. She is now curled up in her usual spot back home!! Just thought id let all the people out the that have missing babes not to give up hope i never did and went out every day calling and looking and put ads all over the place vets posters etc and i put them all over the net which is where they got my details from and its all paid off!!! xxxxx

YES YOU WERE RIGHT !

I wonder it this was actually HIS cat ??

Poor little mite, at least he has found you to look after him.
You could pop him along to a vets to see if he is mirco-chipped

Failing that.....looks like he has found a wonderful new home :sneaky:

Any news on your baby ?

I don't think this the first time this has happened on here, I'm sure I can think of a couple of people who've ended up with bigger furry families this way - by the way I hope you don't live alone, if you do don't give people your address they could be anyone - not a lecture honest!

hi just a quick update! still no sign of my baby although there has been sightings of a kitten that sounds just like mine about a mile away so put loads of posters up there! I had a phone call about 3 days ago from a guy who said they had found her i offered to go round straight away but he said he would come to mine so excited as i was thinking it was my puddles waited for him to arrive. He knocked on my door put a box on my steps and walked away he was nowhere in site by the time i got to the door! Anyway i open this box and out jumps a tom cat black and white with a black collar on thin as a rake terrible state. I didnt know whether to laugh or cry at this poor thing. Anyway i fed him he was starving por little man. I phoned the council and vets etc nobody is missing him and the vet said if no one claims him they would put him to sleep as he is old. Well im not having that he has had a bath and blow dry! Just sat there and let me do it! he is eating well and is looking more like a cat! I have added to my posters saying i have found this liitle boy and im now his foster mum! Just hope his owner comes foreward before my baby finds his way home as i dont think she will be too pleased. But i couldnt bring myself to leave him at the horrible vet. Was i right in taking this boy in?

Hi and welcome,
have you tried all the sites reccomended by sam, the national pet register has lots of new posts on,ill keep a look out for you as i check most of them every day for my cat, shes been gone since aug 1st.my symps to you as its aufull on us and worse on the kids, mine cry at night for sally as she slept on their bed!
keep ur chin up and keep on top of the posters, try local dog walkers another thing i recently was told was to check with local vets as they always no of a "cat person "in the area who takes strays and injured in and may not be known to cat pro or rspca,it could be helpfull
welcome and take care+

hi again! i speak everyday to the council and all local vets and its typical that she was due to be spayed 3 days after she disapeared

Maybe widen your field of vets etc as an unspayed cat can roam for miles to find a mate....or as Angie says could be scared off by one, try phoning vets further away...Good Luck and i hope you find your kitten soon  ;)

Has she been spayed? Normal advice is to not let a kitten out until after they've been neutered. A tom might have scared her off. Have you checked with the local council and vets regarding RTA's in the area?

:welcome: to Purrs and I hope Puddles comes home very soon.  Cats can disappear for some time (I myself found a cat who had been missing from her home for three months last summer), so do stay positive and keep up the search.

Sorry to hear you have lost your little girl, your poor daughter must be devastated.

Have you read all of this http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php?topic=4304.0

Also you should phone your local  council enviromental health dept and also local police stations,  any dog/cat homes plus all the local vets giving descriptions and details.

was she chipped/collared ?

hi all I'm a newbie and a friend recommended your site! My baby has gone missing she has been gone 2 weeks now and I'm so worried. "puddles" is black and white she is only 6 months old. She was last seen behind the high street in maldon essex. I have put posters up everywhere (which i have to replace nearly everyday as some nice person keeps taking down!) put ads in papers and all over the web. My daughter is distraught as she was her birthday present. I have offered a reward but no avail. I personally think someone has taken her as she is so friendly. she was always going to people getting in their cars and playing. Don't want to believe that anyone could take someone Else's pet but thats better than thinking of other thing that could of happened. Any advice gratefully received. Thanks for reading. kel
