I was up at Dunbeath for a motorcycle rally this weekend, and this morning while packing away tent etc
there appeared a Huge rainbow

This is the second time I have seen a Rainbow since Hamish went to the bridge, but the first I had my
camera Handy...

before ( seemed to take forever

It is getting a wee bit easier now, but in the morning's and at night it is still very difficult

Hamish was cremated and is back Home ( sitting beside my bed ) and that is a comfort to me.
I want to give him whiskers ( just to finish off his urn ) but i dont want to spoil it iether, as I am
quite happy with it..
I was round to my friends house last night (the folk I got Misty from) I hadn't seen them for 8 yrs
and I was made more than welcome, but when I told them about Hamish, Liz ( My mates Wife )
Was very sorry for me, and asked me if I wanted another ?? I said dont tempt me, and said NO
She Has 2 Dogs, a Rabbit and 4 persian's, I did'nt look at them, but I remember Elsa from years
earlier (Liz's First Persian), she was affa bony

. But the One she was offering me is 1yr old

But 99.9% of me says No Because Misty is over 16yrs ( about 80 in cat years ) and I dont want
Him going through any stress or Hassle with a young spritely furbabe running about.Or getting
His nose Knocked out of joint

. I Also Only want to give him My Full Undivided attention and
spoil Him Rotten even more

What a wonderful tribute to a wonderful boy.

It has me crying. I think I need to make a tribue to my Beau & Zak. But even after 3 years it will still be painful. You did a very brave tribute and it took courage.

You must miss him dreadfully, he was a stunning lad, and look a cheey one too.
I feel the same I had no photos of Beau, until he was dying before me, I had to have photos of him, he smile and did the best he could. Then Zak I took photos but still not enough.

Think of the good - naughty and cuddly times you had and it will get you through. It will be tough but you had Hamish and Hamish had you and NO one can EVER take that away. He knows his Daddy loves him and he will be waiting on the Bridge for you. Just like my Beau & Zak will be for me.

Takle care Stuart -you'll get through it. You always have us here at Purrsss.

Sorry to be late, Stu, I just found this thread... And so sorry about Hamish, and your video tribute was very touching. He is such a beautiful boy. I use the present tense because he is not really a goner, he never will be, as he is happily playing at the bridge, and a part of his soul will always stay in that special corner of your heart.
He's been with you for such a long time, I know it will be lonely for a long time, but Misty is feeling the same thing, too... give her extra TLC, you guys are fortunate to still have each other!!

I know this might sound a bit crazy but when I went back to work and started to feel teary I would imagine Tiggy on my back in a kind of piggy back position - watching over me and keeping me strong, it was enough to keep the tears away until I could be alone with my thoughts. Maybe you could give Hamish a piggy back when things get really tough

Hi Gill, Not sure when I come Home, But it is worse now because the job has had some complications and have been told it will be 72hrs till we can start again.
72hrs of sitting about doing nothing but think

I'll try and watch a film or do something else to occupy, but my mind always wanders back to Hamish...

Thank You Helen(Tiggy's Mum) I will definately consider that(Probably will have it done ) Like I say I am currently stuck on an oil rig with lots of strangers, so its hard
when I feel one of my moments coming on, as there is'nt really anywhere private to go. I cant concentrate iether as i am constantly thinking about Hamishand when I sleep I dream About Him

I keep telling myself He had a Good Long Happy Life, But Just now, That is'nt really helping...
I was wanting to keep some of Hamish's fur before he went to the Cremetorium, But due to emotional circumstance, I forgot

I know it was a bit desparate/sad but I found my self scouring window sill's and Favorite sleeping places for fur, but my wife Likes the Dyson so not much joy there
I think I have a container with Hamish's fur, But finding it is another Problem( I am a Hoarder) and I am sure there are more Photos of Hamish including
one where I am Holding Misty and Hamish at the same time, But same again I have to find them first.
I will have another look when I get home

You can see how much Hamish means to you, have you thought about having a memory box for him? I have one for Tiggy and I keep all her things in it from a lock of her fur to her cremation certificate. I was annoyed at myself for not taking more photos of Hamish over the Years, But When you have a Furbabe
the Last thing on your mind is the fateful day when they have to go, I did find some more Photos of him
( good ones) and I have the memories, I think i also have Hamish on film ( but not ready to look at it just now)
I am Currently stuck 150mls off of shetland on an oilrig, And I am Dreading coming home

In the Past, When
I opened my front door Hamish and Misty were Always there to Greet me, "They would hear me coming up
the stairs!!" and I would drop my Bags and Lie down on the floor, and just be smothered by them..
just Knowing that Hamish wont be there this time, is making it Hard

Hamish was sent to the Bridge a week ago Today, and I am Missing Him Terribly
Misty Keep's going into the spare room Look's around, and then walks out again
I can Only assume he is Looking for Hamish
I have made a Memorial for Hamish and put it on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LG9m1QRxQPk
but as Hamish was a stray I took in, I didn't know his D.O.B. so I have cheated
a little, and gave him one, as a " ? " didn't look right, all I know is that I had My
Hamish for 16yrs and when I took him to the vet for the first time, she estimated
He was 1yr old.
