Fergus and Polly's faves:

Cat tent
Da birdy
Feather boa on a fishing rod (although most feathers are now all over the carpet)
Ping pong balls (they go crazy, as soon as I bounce one on the worktop without them seeing them bound over to try and get it.)
Small furry mice (but only the ones with the kind of imitation real fur, not the ones where the fur is slightly more synthetic)
Screwed up balls of paper
Pegs
The water bowl
Ribbon
Any type of box, including the covered litter tray
The long curtains to climb
Toes, ankles, fingers, playing with my hair.
Polly was fascinated with my eyes for a while too.

Menues fave is the squishy red nose from red nose day! Oh and really noisy rattle balls especially at 4am!!! :tired:
For a man to truly understand rejection, he must first be ignored by a cat.

Dogs believe they are human. Cats believe they are God.

No amount of time can erase the memory of a good cat, and no amount of masking tape can ever totally remove his fur from your couch.

He is also fond of using the dog as a trampoline, hanging of the light cord and used to hang out in the bath until he discovered what i use it for one day while I was showering.

smidgen likes his little trapped ball thingy, his magic hat, climbing tower, ikea tent, loves da bird, and is quite partial to the odd shopping bag, and opened sachet of cat food that he fishes out of the rubbish when I am not looking. He is also fond of using the dog as a trampoline, hanging of the light cord and used to hang out in the bath until he discovered what i use it for one day while I was showering.

They like all the toys I've got so far but the Cat Tree gets the most hammer lol, the Da Bird is popular as is the leather waggler from zooplus (except the handles rubbish and is getting shorter by the day) but the really do like crumpled up paper :)

Cats are like little bundles of razor blades wrapped in soft fur.

Sounds like you've got a good variety.

Mosi loves interactive toys so I have a whole selection of da bird type toys.  Even though they look similar he likes a change as he gets bored with the same toy all the time.  So it's a good idea to get lots of different fishing rod style toys and feathers, pompoms on the end of sticks etc.  A laser toy is great too - they love to chase them around.  Balls made from different materials are good too - foam balls are great for batting around as they don't make a noise!  We have a ball that I'm not sure how to describe - it's a sort of stretchy, rubber with 'spikes' all the way around (made of the rubber - not sharp).  When I first got that they went mad for it.  It has a light in the middle that comes on when it bounces.

Strips of cardboard, string etc make good toys but make sure you don't leave them lying around unsupervised.  same with foil balls.  They're great but some cats try to eat foil (Mosi does) and it's not safe for them to eat.

fourfurballs - da bird is a great new interactive toy from America.  If you go to the purrs shop board you can see how to get one.  search for da bird and you'll find lots of threads about them - and pics of cats playing with it!

A cardboard box is another firm favourite of Bilbo's lol. His little face lights up when his Daddy or one of my friends gives him an empty beer box and when I moved house and had huge boxes he thought it was paradise :)

what is Da Bird toy - seen it mentioned in a few threads?

mine have all the usual rattly mice, mice and other creatures on springs/elastic, balls, cat tree. They also love foil balls and my two older ones spend hours watching the guinea pigs. The 2 newbies have only been here a week and are yet to get outside so have not met the piggies yet - can't wait to see that reaction ;D I found the feathery things on sticks a disaster as Bronte just pulls them to shreds within an hour  ;D

The one and only Skitty Kitty mice!!!! They are absolutely brilliant, really good value for money and some of the money goes to charity :-) Bilbo takes his Skitty Kitty mice absolutely everywhere with him (his mouse is called Mr Mouse  :evillaugh:). I have yet to meet a cat that doesn't like them.

mine like cat tree, fishing rod type things and ping pong balls, I have missed out on the whole da bird thing and must have a look when it's quiet here!  they all hate tunnel type things and I ended up selling three I think last year in the auction!

I think you'll find that most residents here have a wiggly waggler and prob about 95% swear by them as their cats go metal for it.

http://www.catchat.org/waggler_form.html

(or the person who makes em sells on ebay also  ;)  )

Cody's other favorite is of course his tunnel

Lirael loves foil... it scares the rest of them ;)

She's pretty much fearless so I guess I should have expected that.

Her current favorite toy is the foster kittens, she watches them constantly and follows/pounces on them. One has learned to make a huge fuss because I'll come running...

I'm sure you're cat will adore the toys but wouldn't mind some of the cheap variety either.

ha ha I have had people say "Don't waste your money on expensive toys as they like the simple things! eg.. balls of foil !!!"

It would just be my luck for him to ignore everything I have bought !!!

Balled up paper is a fave in our house.

Apparently so are used tissues.... I have no idea why but they keep stealing them out of the bins.

Socks, they're stealling socks.

Our Smoke has a clothes fetish and will steal, lay or otherwise make it difficult to get dressed.

Cat tunnel, tent, boxes, mice, hedgies (stuffed hedghogs, we have 5 spare because they destroy them after a while), few fishing rod type things or things on a stick (which are also good for unblocking sinks as my husband discovered).

Pretty much whatever they get their paws on ;)

So far i have -

The cat tree (Large & tall enough for him to gaze out of window & lounge!)
6 different fishing rod toys with bells, mice, feathers etc on the end
Cushions filled with Pure Catnip
Cat tunnel
A couple of little bee's that make a chirping noise when batted !
Other squeaky toys
other hangy noisy toys !

I still want more so I can change them every now & then so he doesnt get bored with them -

Which toys do your puddy's love best ?
