You dont get multicat policies as far as im aware but you do get a multicat discount if you use the same company for all of them. Not a huge one, 5%, but better than nothing.

1) Obviously the excess. I know its usually around £50. Does anyone know if this may be the same on a multi cat policy.
Excesses vary from £50 - £75 (or more if you choose) and some do 15% of the claim for older cats.

2) Direct vet payment (my vet is happy for this).
Most companies will accept this, it tends to be the vets that say no but if yours say yes then lucky you!

3) Best policy cover. I would prefer to have the best protection for the kittens and not necessarlly the cheapest price although of course there may be differences in price but not cover.
Dont choose a per condition or 12month policy, you want cover for life.

Are there companies that specialise in pedigree cats. Would that be a better option if so.
Not sure but they probably exist

Monthly payments
I pay my policies monthly by DD, watch they dont bung interest on top!

In case of chronic or long term illness, is this covered for the life of the cat.
As long as you choose the right policy.

I use M&S and have no qualms with the service, iv had several pay outs and no probs at all. Pet plan are the other good one. Recently it has been noticed that AXA's own insurance is very similar to M&S but lower premiums  ;)

If you dont use M&S or PP then make sure the underwriter isnt E&L.

Also have you posted pics of these new babes?

Hi.

I am looking into insurance for my Rgdoll kittens.

Because I have 2 kittens, I wanted to ask you all if there were multi cat policies around.

If there are, do you think they are better or is it usually better to insure each cat separately.

My other 2 adult cats have their own policies, but I just wondered about multi cat policies before I shop around.

Also, if its a case of single cat policies are better, who do you all reccomend.

The following points are important to me.

1) Obviously the excess. I know its usually around £50. Does anyone know if this may be the same on a multi cat policy.

2) Direct vet payment (my vet is happy for this).

3) Best policy cover. I would prefer to have the best protection for the kittens and not necessarlly the cheapest price although of course there may be differences in price but not cover.

4) Are there companies that specialise in pedigree cats. Would that be a better option if so.

5) Monthly payments.

6) In case of chronic or long term illness, is this covered for the life of the cat.

Any advice about this would be much apprciated.

Many thanks for reading.

 :) :)
