I was wondering where you had got to! Good to hear Ozzy has been done  ;D has she still got toileting issues?

It also sounds like she needs a playmate  ;) ;)

She is never in long enough for me to find out. Her little tray has been clear all week. (I am going to find poo all over the flat in corners hidden arn't I lol)

Back again, just been busy at work and I realy can't face a computer when I get home at night.

It's how we ended up deciding to get Merlin.
Cause Missy would keep company with neighbourhood cats and didn't spend much time at home.
I'm glad even though Merlin annoys her she spends a bit more time at home now.
RIP Ebony, she's a good, she's a good, she's Ebony-zer good girl

Ozzy has found a friend next door as well.
She is another kitten about a month younger than Oz, and they spend the whole day with each other, Ozzy goes in via my neighbours catflap (I think the other cats let her in). they play and hunt and run around like a pair of loons, have the odd play fight.
I think its great as Ozzy comes home around 9:30 totaly knackered and sleeps all through the night.  :evillaugh:
She then cries to be let out again in the morning so she can go next door.
I had her spayed last week and the 4 days I kept her in she was just crying to be let out to play.

Little Sid is friends with most of the neighbourhood cats. Before I moved he had a ginger tom cat as a friend. They were mostly friends but did fight occasionally. He didn't like Hitler cat and they used to fight all the time. Then there was poor little Spook who the ginger cats owners bought. He used to get beaten up by everybody (well only by cats) but I'm sure he's grown up now and can hold his own.

The way Sid makes friends is to fight cats into sunbmission whereby they agree to be his friend. There is a hole under a wooden fence which is a cat alleyway. All the cats use this hole to get from A to B. Little Sid has taken to laying in the hole looking into space. If another cat comes along he refuses to move and just sits there avoiding eye contact. Some cats aren't sure what to do and often sit there for several hours waiting for him to move. Sometimes they swipe at Sid and there's a bit of cat fight action and next time you see them they are friends. Occasionally a cat will approch the fence hole from the rear. This can result in a very surprised look on Sid's face.

Sid applies the same technique to me. When he wants attention if he doesn't get it he attacks me. For example when I get out of the shower and am trying to try myself he bites my toes. This has me dancing around trying to avoid his savagery whilst I'm trying to dry myself and avoid standing on him. He then attacks the towel and we end up in a tug of war.

Mandu on the other hand doesn't have any friends. Poor Mandu. She is a bit of a scaredy cat and if she sees another cat immediately her furr and tail go up and she legs it. She's a very fast runner. She is sort of friends with Sid but attacks him occasionally. Only when I'm there though in case it goes wrong and she needs rescueing.

My Letty-cat is great buddies with Benjy who lives next door... Lettifers is an indoor puss and Benjy (very) outdoor but they sniff noses under my front door and do patty paws if I open the door to let them. Think Benjy would be trying to move in were it not for Ollie, who is a v disapproving grumpy old uncle and most ferocious about anyone sniffing 'his' girls
Spaying and neutering saves lives.
Nobody has a right to own a cat. It's a privilege.

My friend has a cat called Biccie, Bertie's sister, who has formed a great friendship with Bubbles, the cat across the road.  Biccie has even smuggled Bubbles into the house when no one is looking, and he is often found hiding under beds!  They're absolutely inseparable and this has been going on for about 2 years now.

Friends with the cat down the road...
« Reply #1 on: August 31, 2007, 15:21:24 PM »
Pickle - the least friendliest and most territorial out of my brood has made an unlikely friend in the black cat from down the road. I have seen them running around the garden together and playing and bashing each other around. I have never seen this before - Does anyone elses babes have friends down the road or round the corner? This little girl even comes up and they touch noses through the patio door when i keep my girls in....
