Thats a sweet idea Julie, my friend did birth certificates for some of hers.

Over night Petunia did a wee all on her own

i got suspicous when nothing came out and then found a wet patch

hopefully wont be long until she does it all the time

She just gobbled 30ml of milk and she literally grew infront of my eyes! She looks heavily pregnant

and is now sleeping it off

She's got star quality, that pud, she'll leave her little paw prints on everyone's hearts.

I'm doing a regular 'progress' report, with pics, for my babies' new owners. A bit like a baby book..? Won't it be fun to look back on those pics and character descriptions and see how they've changed in 2,5,10 years time.

Petunia's new meowmy will really treasure those pics of her paddling in her dinner.

She certainly sounds more advanced with her hunting skill than my little ones. I have hanging toys in their pen for them to play with instead of fingers and toes, they just like to kiss human noses.

Iv tried a mousey but she says they are not as nice to nibble

You can't stop them hunting, but you can encourage them to hunt something more appropriate than your pinkies.

Hows about a catnip mouse, or a feather on a string?

The Jumpster was 14 weeks when I rescued him and he was a

for pouncing on your toes at 3am. I got him a fishing rod toy and hung it about a foot above the floor at night... he left our toes alone, but kept us awake trying to 'kill' the mouse.

Petunia sounds like she's doing enormously well, bless her. What a relief! Keep up the good work and give her a scritch from me.

Yes, anklebiting can be painful. try having a pingpong ball in your hand and throwing it for her to chase whenever she is 'shaping up' for a go. It gives her something else to think about and chase, and eventually she will get the hint...

Since lasts nights poops she has upped her milk intake to 15ml a meal

The hunting instinct is showing in her already, and big toes are her choice victim

she stalks them and then SMACK. My dad says she young and should be allowed to get away with it but i dont want to end up with a 9week old pyscho kitten!
I was stalked for years by my childhood cat and wouldnt want to inflict that on someone else.

Other than blowing at her face i cant think of any other way to stop her? She isnt scared of having a bite either!

Yep, im pleased too, the flush she had would have killed any eggs/maggots up there

On her last feed she did me 3 pieces of poop

Shes going to be a stroppy girl when shes older, her new slave is going to be well worked

very happy to hear that, given the location of some of her maggots. Have seen a fly-blown sheep on more than one occasion, and it is a very good argument for docking lambs tails.

BC, she did a lovely poo last night and her eating has picked up since then

Shes very demanding, not for food but cuddles! She has some teddies in with her but they are not good enough for madam

Mark it was vets now and i tried pleading my case but no discount! I guess its different to a practice where the vets own the business and can decide things like that.
Petunia is definatley named after the flower and not a body part

Another good reason to not leave wet food around for long in the heat. I found eggs in another bowl yesterday even though there was no sign of a fly.

Sadly, I've seen it before - too many times! It often effects long haired cats that are neglected and matted and cannot clean themselves. Food or poo gets stuck to their fur, along comes a fly and lays eggs and the rest we don't want to think about.

These babies' mum must have been in a bad way herself as she wasn't keeping them clean. Poor darling....

I think you, Teresa and all the others who do 4 hourly feeds are amazing - your dedication is absolutely outstanding is giving these little kits a chance in life.

hows my little grunge-puppy tonight? Feeling a lot better I hope. What a horrible fate for her and her siblings. Glad she is safe now. She will be much relieved (as will we all) when she has done a proper poo and her innards are all the right bright pinky colour we love.

Thanks Teresa, i started on 3 hr but she wasnt very keen so changed to 4 which is better. She is a small eater after her inital pig out.
I think a proper size poo may alter things

I will try to get her to keep still for pics, she can pick up some speed with her wobbly legs!

Millys mum Pushkin and Eugenie are 4 weeks old today have 4 hourly feeds and last 6 hours overnight now.

Its quite normal for tiny ones to swim in their food, I`ve had some that paddy paw in it,suck and fall asleep. I`m sure she will thrive and soon learn some table manners in your wonderful care. Non scented baby wipes are brilliant I`m currently going through 3 packs a week.

Glad I`m not the only one on here who appreciates the finer qualities of poo

Will look forward to more pics of this very special little one.

Grunge puppy, i like it, suits her well

She got in such a mess as i wasnt expecting her to dive bomb the bowl or i would have used a saucer.
Shes alternating between bottle and bowl today and oh i got my first poo!

Teresa, how often are you feeding Pushkin & Eugenie?

Lynn, the guy who found them did the deed as they were in a disgusting state and i doubt they would have made the drive to the emergency vets. Petunia was lucky she was cleaner than the others and only had a few eggs stuck to her.
