Hi Mark
Yep! Indeed got rained off early this morning.  Will make abit of an impact in our fundraising this late in the year. Still, not much we can do about the weather.  We hope to have a stall at Animal House Vets (was St Francis) in Herne Bay on 16 th Dec, they are holding an open day and are inviting a couple of animal org along. We will have cards and stuff then, although abit late before Christmas i suppose then.  If anybody knows of any other events locally would be glad to hear about them?  We have cards and calanders to sell so need a few more decent days to go this.

Fundraising is hard work and although our branch has a good fundraising committee this time of year it hard competing with other organisations.  Also as I mentioned yesterday, Humphrey's bill is mounting up and we really dont get alot of chance to earn some money in the New Year really.

It's shame todays fundraiser got rained-off Sharon. I went to Tankerton expecting to get some xmas cards. I don't know who the organisers were (probably useless canterbury council) but it was stupid cancelling the whole event just because it was raining this morning. I saw hundreds of people milling around tankerton high st with nothing to do. My neighbours own Bluebirds and they had organised their xmas "mulled wine & mince pies" to coincide with it.

Just a suggestion people, what about a new topic thread under Fundraising events.  For people to post events happening in their area! Just a suggestion, with a little publicity.

Just a thought I would share.
