Good for you, she's playing on the fact this is all online and the police will do nothing, theft is still theft surely and thats 2 incidents we know of on 1 forum, how many more people has she ripped off via online communitys ?

PS were those last 2 names you used tongue in cheek or were they other identitys i wasnt aware of ?

I'd love to say i'm surprise but in all honesty i'm not and had her character marked from the beginning of the membership with that cat spay but poss preg should they get it scanned carry on  >:(

I'm very upset that now 2 members of purrs are out of pocket by considerable sums, i wonder if any other stories are going to sneak out of the woodwork.  Someone said they forwarded money they were collecting for a kitten..i think we can safely say that went straight into the purse and not to the kitten in question. 

atleast purrlishious you must have a valid postal address as you sent the tents off to them, It might not do any good but I would actually contact the police and explain the situation, you have all your other mates on here who also had cat tents to testify you sent them (did you get proof of posting)  Also i wouldnt be making the police contact a threat i'd be carrying out that action straight away today.  If i lived in the area i would jolly well be offereing to pay this person a visit and demanding payment for the cage and the tents !!!,

Its horrible to say but i think we have to now realise that not so honerable members can be a part of this forum and maybe start minding our p & q's now.  Pity...1 person ruined it for everyone else !

I think you are right. If you remember there was only one person after the auction who did not send the money. although I think that person was never to be seen again. Not in her own name anyway. Perhaps if anyone is so kind again to do such a good deed  payment should be received before goods are sent out like the auction. Although often gut feeling does tell you who you can trust implicitly.

Can you not ring them up and have a word, you know their phone number is available. Or you could send them a letter recorded delivery. Reading between the lines I think there is no need to read the original topic to know about whom you are writing about.

Also see www.moneyclaim.gov.uk 

Hopefully the person who owes you the money will see sense and pay up immediately. You could  mention in a letter that of you do not receive the full amount owed within 14 days you will take legal action.

not actual legal experience but I recently had difficulty getting my landlord to cough up the deposit money and finally sent a letter of demand, carefully worded with no extraneous information basically saying the sum was now past due and that if it was not in my account within five working days of receipt of my letter (sent recorded delivery) that I would be instructing legal counsel for recovery of the amount. I added that any additional costs associated with recovery of the amount due would be his responsibility. PUrrlishious I will pm you the text of the letter if you want and you can just fill in the gaps.

I can't imagine it would be anyone else. It would be good if it was possible to get them through the small claims court and they would have to pay court costs as well. Anyone got any legal experience on here?.

Sue have just gone back and read the original thread and I suspect you, Gill and others are correct in your thoughts. If it indeed is the person we suspect I doubt you will get a response on this forum from them anymore, Sue, maybe Gill and Tan can advise how best to try get your money from them.
