This is my first time posting on a cat forum. I've been on user on several dog forums for several years now, but have just doubled the number of cats in my house
so thought I'd venture into the cat world a bit further.
Before I go any further, I just want to say that I LOVE the emoticons on here
Right. In my home there is me, my 2 kids, a 12 year old Collie called Bear, a 13 month old American Bulldog called Flora, an 11 year old beat up old white tom cat called Kevin, a 4 year old tabby and white girl called Summer and 2 x 11 week old ginger demons, both toms - a longhair called Mango and a shorthair called Mika.
The kittens have only been with us for a week and so I am still in the very cautious introductory stages. It's a learning curve as my cats have always chosen to live away from the dogs. Kevin is an indoor cat and Summer was always very much an outdoor cat. We've recently moved though and our set up is a little different so it's now quite difficult to let the cats out without them having to go past the dogs or going straight out onto the street rather than into the garden. I'm hoping to integrate the kittens with both the cats and the dogs and it has to be said that the dogs are handling it much better than the cats at the moment
Flora absolutely adores them and washes them thoroughly at every opportunity. Bear is a bit "keen" still at the moment
Kevin is very sensible and just jumps out of their reach. Summer will stand and growl at them. Are the kittens bovvered? Not in the slightest
