We think you gave us the wrong cat as we cannot understand how anyone could voluntarily part with him

That is wonderful to hear - yes, Tom doesn't act his age, and I couldnt understand why his owners wanted to have him pts, he is a wonderful cat - it is just over 2 years since he initially came into our care, so he will actually be 14 now. Am glad there aren't any major issues with him and the resident cat, but he is used to others picking on him by now!

Just wanted to share the email I received - Tom seems to be settling in very well!!!

Hi- just wondering if you had a direct e-mail address so I could send you a photo of Tom (now living in Chester). We think you gave us the wrong cat as we cannot understand how anyone could voluntarily part with him- and we find it difficult to believe he is as old as suggested! It wasnt love at first sight when he met our resident queen but there were no 'toilet brush tails' and there have been no major spats, but we are keeping them apart unless we are with them. He has impeccable manners and has settled really well, its more like having a small attentive dog than an old cat.

Bless Him!!!!!

Just received this from lady who has adopted Tom

Hi- just to say thanks for your help in matchmaking. We picked up Tom from Clitheroe on Thursday and he is a wonderful cat. There were some hisses when he first met the resident queen and she is still rather indignant, but nothing serious. He is a lovey affectionate boy and will be great company for my mum, who is doting on him as we speak.

Sounds like he`s going to be just fine  :)

If nothing is sorted for this lady, I've got old George looking for a home, he's about 12 years old and is a lovely laid back kitty........he's happy as long as he's fed and got a nice warm bed or lap to sleep on  ;)

Shame it's indoor only, or Tom might have been suitable - he is currently indoor only and fine though, but he wanted it while here.

Have a lovely indoor only home available for elderly male cat and I sadly dont have an old tom thats suitable my oldies are female.

Lady is looking for a Male preferably short haired who will live with a 15year old Birman whose moggie companion died recently, no preference to colours but cat must be very friendly and happy to remain indoors. Any cat over 7 years but prefers older ones.

please email or pm me if you think you have a suitable puss.
