Less than mine - they are just over £4 I think, I didn't get much change from £10 for 2 tabs, luckily it was for 3 cats (advantage of small cats!!)

Drontal are one of the few tablets I fail with, so I pay more for Milbemax, which is a shame, I could save myself a fortune.

Bilbo is very laid back until he sees a Drontal and if I manage to get one down him I then have to chase him round the house to catch him again to get the next one down and he knows what is coming so refuses to open his mouth lol. Milbemax is so much easier with at the moment him only needing one tablet. He wouldn't dream of biting you though no matter how cross he got he just wriggles a lot and he is very strong due to his size. He's perfectly well behaved if he has to have antibiotic tablets though even if they aren't the palatable ones. Boopy's a good girl and will eat Milbemax and antibiotic tablets straight from your hand!

Its is true if you struggle and faf around the coating comes off and they will froth at the mouth due to the vile taste, Mine just dont get the chance to struggle of faf

i can normally get them down in a piece of steak or i use half a milbemax (which iv never had any side affects from).

To be honest I never have a problem administrating Drontal and the cats never seem to be affected by it.

Personally I can't stand Drontal as they are huge tablets and trying to get 1.5 of the XL ones down a cats throat is not exactly easy and makes them really stressed so I pay the extra for Milbemax. It's a tiny tablet and as 1 tablet does 8kg most cats will only need to have 1 tablet and little cats that weigh 4kg or less only need half a tablet

I think so, when the boys were babies the vet snapped a Drontal in half (as they obviously didn't weigh 4kg) and gave them half each.

I'm curious to know he its safe to break up the drontal, not all tablets are safe to do this with but is drontal ok? Although this brings the problem of getting the to take it lol

Milbemax is prescription only, so would require a prescription from the vet anyway. I personally prefer it, as I find Drontal to big, and struggle to get them to take it.

I know I keep saying this, but I had such a bad experience after dosing Polly with Milbemax, that I would recommend avoiding this wormer. Maybe what happened was a coincidence, but the timing was suspicious.

Vet uk are often cheaper and offer free p+p on orders of £10+
