I tie Ozzy's favorite toy mouse to the washing line in the garden to give her excercise. That keeps her running round like a loon, then she gets puffed out sits on my lap and goes to sleep for an hour  :Luv:

Eeeeeeekkkk!!!!

Cats don't have the heart/lung aerobic capacity for sustained exercise like this.
Cats can run sprints, not marathons, which is why they often lose prey - they can be outrun if they don't bring their prey down within a short time. (Remember those big cat wildlife doc.s where the lioness gets woofed out and the wildebeest gets away?).
This exercise machine is made for prolonged effort, which is why the cat keeps rolling off - he's puffed out and his heart is being over-taxed.

 :no no: :RIP:
Cats were once gods; they have never forgotten this, nor have the people they own.

I liked that :)
Cats are like little bundles of razor blades wrapped in soft fur.
