I have been saving a very treasured cat collar which belonged to Iris who died on 14-02-06;  I think Iris would want Anastasia to have it, as she wont be going back to a pen but coming into the house.

That is good.  to Anastasia.  How is she, Teresa?

Andy has just phoned to say that he has removed the ear, he has also decided to wire the old break in her jaw as he says he can feel some movement and hopefully it should help prevent problems at a later date. Shes not awake yet but should be fine for me to pick up later this afternoon.

Hoping for the best for her Teresa. I don't suppose a cat is aware of how it looks but I suppose it will affect her hearing?

Does this mean she will be one of your permanent residents? - At least she will be in the right place  :Luv:

As expected Andy has admitted Anastasia and is amputating her second ear today; its not even 4 weeks since he last saw her and he too is alarmed at the speed this has changed.
Des shes only about 7.

I have Anastasia at the forefront of my thoughts. She does not deserve this and I wish, I wish, that I could have her here forever.

Unable to pray, as you know, I am, instead, sending you a small bit of practical assistance for her tomorrow.

T,

Thinking of you and Annie tonight and wishing her well tomorrow.  I will bring my extra comfy legs on saturday for her to have another snooze on.  I think she will need cheering up as I know how down she was after the last op.  She is such a gentle girl and deserves a home to match her big heart.

Tell her to be brave and that we will love her just as much even without the other ear.  There is someone for her out there - we just need to find them.

Claire xx

Yes Mark, the poor girl lived out on the streets for many many months and when we rescued her the first ear was very cancerous, although vet warned second ear was suspect we hoped that it would be ok. It is the speed which this has happened that scares me sick; she is by far the most loving cat here at the Inn and she deserves so much more; it is so unfair.

Poor Anastasia,

I hope it doesn't cause her too much pain. Poor baby. Was it sunburn related?

Hope you get better quickly poor baby  :ahh:

Poor Anastasia only recovered from having her ear amputated a few weeks ago, we were warned at the time that the second ear looked suspect;unbelievable today its gone from bad to worse. Shes seeing Andy at 9.50 in the morning and I have been warned to starve her overnight as they will possibly admit her and amputate the ear tomorrow.
Poor little love its so unfair, she`s come such a long way to have to endure so much again; my heart is just breaking for her. Please remember her in your prayers.
