Yes she's currently killing the feather boa. Don't have the heart to tell her its bed time.

She's windy too so me thinks Lexy is sleeping in the living room tonight.

A lot of people have noticed they're cats have lost their appetites lately due to the warm weather, so this could be an additional factor.

Yes mix between English and Belgian. More English!  Hard.

She's drinking her water well not excessively so though.

She is still not as hungry as she should be so her food is there waiting.

Perhaps a pic would have been a good idea after all, colourwise hope you mean Belgium rather than English mustard, if it was all very hard expect more. Madam needs to increase her fluid intake, will she allow you to increase wet food and reduce dry ?

Enjoy Dallas must be almost 30 years since i`ve seen it.

Only disappear if its to somewhere pleasant.

Well they were tiny, hard and mustard coloured. T - is this ok?  she's never been constipated before like this so have no idea what to expect.

Sitting back with Dallas on the telly and a coffee. Al picking up his stuff later so getting ready to disappear. Gotta watch Dallas first tho!!

Hurrah! She poo'd!  ;D

I second the "no pictures of poo" motion. (Geddit?! ;)) Even if they're especially magnificent.

Glad cuddling has recommenced. :)

yes desley is correct..lactulose and lactose 2 totally seperate things.

lactulose is NOT  a laxative but is a stool softener, it does not get absorbed at all which makes it very safe..i am sure there is something about long term use of liquid parrafin and some of it being absorbed or something that makes it less suitable ????

Lactualose is what they give wee babies for the very reason it can be gentle and extremely safe  ;D

Well she's chirpier this morning. No poos yet but I got another wee a few mins ago.

I'm off to the chemist to get some lactulose. I changed the litter completely just in case but let's hope today is the day!

Madam woke me up and came for a cuddle so I think I am no longer satan as far as she is concerned!  Yay!

lactulose isn't milk based, it is a very syrupy liquid, and even fussy Miss Molly who wont entertain anything is fine with it in her food.
Please spay your cat

I recommend the addition of alcohol and chocolate.  Everything seems better when they're in the picture.

Icecream is out and alcohol is on the side.

Who knew they could worry us so much!

Ohhhhhhhhhh I see she hates milk, well that is that for milk then  ;D

I am sure she will have to use tray soon but mine held out for a long time when they have been upset and also Ducha after his op. Also the sedation will prob not help either.

Susanne you want to come down here and wag your finger at her? Its not working with me doing it..   :-[

Well I am in finger wagging mode today as both Jaffa and Mosi have decided they're not keen on natures menu beef flavour (fine with the other flavours) but I've been insisting they eat it as I refuse to throw it out.  They both eventually decided that it tasted much better out of the other's bowl.

So ok, I'll have my take away and not worry.

Vet just off phone with me. Says not to worry.

So ok, I'll have my take away and not worry.

Much.

Gill, she won't eat anything with milk in it. She hates it.  THe lactulose I think is the same thing so lets hope she poops before because I REALLY DO NOT WANT to have to give her an enema.. Even the vet won't give it to her... Lexy has developed a dislike for her.. I wonder why!

I've tried to give her the watered down milk but she's not wanting it.

Vet is suggesting Microlax or Lactulose if nothing by tomorrow.  She says another 24 hours without and then we will revisit. Since she doesn't appear to WANT to poop we won't worry much...well I will but Caroline seems to think Madam is just showing me what she thinks of me.

Oh well..

I hope all the tests come bak with good results................I reckon she is sulking  ;D

My vets said an old fashioned way to help constipation...............in cats!!...............is a teaspoon of carnation condensed milk watered down. I gave it to Ducha on their instructions after his dental and he wouldnt touch it then in the night lapped it all up and was moaning for more every night......seemed to work cos he started using the litter tray again.

Sad but had to throw most of can away cos I love it but it defo on the banned list
