Dear Purrs members.
On behalf of our volunteers, their long suffering families and supporters, and of course our beautiful (if a bit smelly) cats I'd like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for the generosity and love you've shown our Branch this year by way of this marvellous Auction.
From a personal perspective, you all know me and you know that my Rescue roots first took hold as a direct result of the passion and family spirit that run deeply here on this forum. You've inspired me and you should take a great deal of pride from Waltham Forest Cats, as it's as much a part of you as it is me. Thanks to Tan for creating this entity and her personal donations, and the moral support from my friends on here for keeping me going when things got tough. It was worth every tear, torn hair and bitten body part.
This money is huge for us. It will allow us to take one very special girl off the list of potential amputees immediately, and the funds we would have had to raise for Angel's operation can now be directed towards numerous other cats in dire need of our help.
Our own "Final Total" for the cats we've helped in WFC since last Christmas isn't yet known, but as of today we have helped 422 cats from this area and well beyond. This year our helping hands have stretched as far as Tameside to the North, Llanberis to the West, Lowestoft to the East and Goreing on Sea to the South. Waltham Forest Cats are truly a National affair!
Finally I'd like to thank the volunteers and hands-on supporters who have lined up alongside me to make this work. Some of you are on here, you know who you are.
Thank you all. And Merry Christmas!!!
