Particularly loved the cat holding his grieving humans, very sweet and poignant. People who don't 'get' cats and thing that they are aloof, unfeeling creatures are just so wrong.

I can understand your frustration and anger.

The main thing to remember is that if the worst happens, Robbie has had the very best of care and pampering. He is well and truly loved. That is the most important thing. My thoughts are with you all.

Thanks guys, he is still not good, I have found him twice at the back door and lifted him outside, he has peed twice He then walks back to me and lets me carry him back inside, he has eaten and drank a little, will be monitoring him over the next couple of days, but my hopes are not high for a good outcome  :'(

I'm sorry to hear he is going downhill. I can understand your anger at the vet, I had a similar thing, but would it have been fair to to through a load of investigations? Just going off his pics, it is clearly something and I doubt you would have got any longer with him and would he have appreciated the tests and possible regular medication?

Well Robbie came in from outside the same time as I came into the kitchen, I'm afraid Robbie has went downhill and is now just sitting in his bed  :'(

He has basically been off his food for the last few days (something he has done before but always came round with a different flavour) this time this
wasn't working, so we got some roast chicken slices which was picked at, but he thouroughly enjoyed the raw chicken breast.

We were going to try him again on his cat soup again but the way he is now, I do not think he has long  :( :'(

As some of you may know, Robbie was diagnosed with cancer of the intestines about a year ago, I was told that they were double the thickness that
they should be and this was also stopping the nutrients going into his system explaining the weight loss.

I was told by the vet that because of the type of cancer he has and his age there was nothing more that could be done for him, the only thing you can
do is give him palliative care, I replied "as long as he has a quality of life" the vet replied "Yes, I believe we are reading off the same page"

So, that was that  :(

Fast forward to mid November 2018, Robbie started being sick on a daily basis, more bile than anything else, I took him back to the vets to get
something to stop him being sick, I saw a different vet this time, he started going on about all the things that could be making him sick, kidneys
liver problems, hyper thyroid etc... and what the best course of action we could take? all the while, I'm standing there a bit confused? thinking
"hold on a minute, Robbie has cancer hasn't he?" I still don't know why I never mentioned this, I just wanted something to make Robbie better.

This course of meds lasted just over a week, I ended up going offshore, phoning home, OH told me he was still being sick and that she would
be taking him back to the vets.

OH took him back to the vets again and saw yet another vet, she too was also fishing around trying to guess what was causing him to be sick
OH repeated to her what I had been told by the first vet "Cancer" she replied, "well to be honest, we don't really know what is going on with
Robbie, it could well be cancer?"

This made me angry, If they did not really know what was going on with him, then WTH was I told he had cancer and that there was nothing more
they could do for him? basically almost a year of investigation could have been done to determine exactly what was going on.

I don't know what to do about that now

At the end of the day, if Robbie is the same as he is today tomorrow, I will have to call a vet for a home visit  :'( :'( :'(

I tried Complivit the last time Paula, heaven knows where it's at now he never touched it  :tired:

I had Robbie to the vets today and as per usual he behaved impeccably  :Luv: he has also been given a good report
regarding his health in the form of his gums are in good colour his eyes are bright, and he is obviously in no pain as
the vet gave his abdomen a right check over. so I am another £69 down and have been given a weeks course of meds
we have

21 x Metronidazole susp
14 x Prednicare
and also
7 x Omeprazole

will see how he does on those  :shy:
