Bramble and Lily back on top of the freezer. Given it was quite a warm day, if a little dull, and the freezer gives off heat, I can't imagine why they keep going back there.

Since she went missing for just over a day a little while ago, Bramble has been keeping her distance from the other two cats. Today, Lily had a visit to the vet (as I suspected, it was a flea allergy, like Clio had but not as bad). Shortly after we got home, I found Bramble and Lily together. I just hope it lasts.

Once they've settled, it's difficult to imagine a time when they weren't around. Whenever someone asks how old Lily is, I have to look at her thread here to see when I first posted about her!

Butter was wobbly on his feet the first few times, but he thinks he's Mr Cool now  8) - *rolls eyes* -   :rofl: his way to get up is to jump on the patio table then onto the Wheely bin (now used as a waterbutt) then onto the fence and finally the roof.

It seems that I was worrying over nothing after all! The weather has turned cool and quite windy, and Clio has just walked in, crying for some of the chicken I was trying to bribe her down with!  :rofl:

Getting up there isn't a problem for Clio, getting down might be, as she's very old. It's possible I'm panicking too soon though. She's up there again today, so I might give her a bit longer. Our outbuildings have flat roofs  and are very close to a 6' fence, then a 4' fence and the roof of The Cathouse. So easy for them to scrabble up and down there. The garage they have the filtration box for the pond to use as a ladder.

I ended up going next door with some steps to fetch Clio down from the roof yesterday evening. I'm not sure if she was unable to get down by herself, or if she was reluctant as it was still warm, but it was getting late and I didn't want to risk climbing a stepladder in the dark.

It used to frighten the Life out of me because the old fence that he used was only 4ft tall at the time, then it was stepladders out and grab him by the scruff of the neck - for some reason he didn't like that!  :evillaugh:  he did a few times and then gave up, til we changed the fence to a 6ft one.  I still nervous for the first few times but after that it didn't bother me - well, till he see's a bird on the gable end, then I'm worried he's gunna run at it and go flying off the end  :hairrasin: :hairrasin:
