I'm glad you've got the carrier. Can't help with the trolley as mine is great but would be too small and cost close to £200! (is primarily for scooter battery transport but works perfectly for transporting the boys in their carriers to and from car)

PET PLANET ARE EXCELLENT WHEN ORDERING ETC................IF YOU DO IT ON PHONE BEWARE, I WAS WAITING 32 MINS TO GET TO TOP OF QUEUE OF 12,,,,,,,,,,,YOU KEEP BEING TOLD WHAT NUMBER YOU ARE AND 3 OR 4 DROPPED OUT LOL.

HOWEVER NOW ON THE TROLLY HUNT!

YES YOU ARE RIGHT THEY ARE CALLED SACK TROLLYS PAULA AND AT PRESENT AM THROWING UP IN AIR ABOUT AN UP RIGHT TROLLEY AND A FLATBED ONE, ALL TO BE LIGHT AND FOLD UP.

DIDNT MEAN TO BE LOOKING LAST NIGHT AND SO MANY ITS CRAZY BUT THE CARRIER IS 67.5 CMS LONG AND 51 CM WIDE...THINK THE LATTER IS IMPORTANT ON AN UPRIGHT ONE.

DONT WANT TO USE EBAY BUT HAVE LOOKED AT AMAZON AND SCREWFIX AND IN THE FORMER SO MANY.
E
AM DRIFTING TOWARDS A FLATBED WITH BUNJI HOLDERS BEINGING USED BUT THE ONES I HAVE SEEN HAVE SMALL CASTOR WHEELS THAT NEED ATTACHING GRRRRRRRRRR AND THE REVIEWS ON THE WHOLE ABOUT HOW THEY WORK SEEM TO BE GOOD AND THE WEIGHT THE TEROLLY TAKES IS WAY OVER MISA IN HIS CARRIER LOL BUT SO MANY AND SO MANY REVIEWS MY MIND IS BOGGLED.

I HAVE A TROLLEY WHICH CAN BE USED FKATBED OR UPRIGHT WHICH IS VERY GOOD BUT TAKES A FAIR SOACE AND IS VERY HEAVY SO NO GOOD FOR CAT CARRYING.

CAN JUST SEE THE LOOK ON GARETHS FACE WHEN I STROLL INTO THE VETS WITH  A CARRIER ON ON A SMALL FLATBED

ANY LINKS THAT YOU THINK WOULD BE GOOD I WOULD LOVE TO SEE IF ANY TIE UP WITH MINE.

I HAVE FOUND IT VERY HARD TO GET AN IDEA OF THE SIZE OF THE FOOTPLATE ON UPRIGHT TROLLYS AND THING DUE TO THE WIDTH OF MINE IT WOULD HAVE TO BE QUITE WIDE.

ALSO SOME OF TROLLEYS SEEM TO COLLAPSE WHEN THE LUGGAGE IS ATTACHED BY THE BUNJI STRAPS WHICH IS USELESS!

HOW TO WASTE AS MUCH TIME AS POSSIBLE GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP SO FAR, THE CARRIER IS ARRIVING TOMORROW AND WOULD BE GREAT TO HAVE THE TROLLEY BEFORE MISA GOES FOR HIS NEXT BLOOD TEST IN 2 WEEKS.

NO CRATE A CARRIER  ;D

I NOW NEED JUST A TROLLEY TO PUT IT ON, TO AND FROM CAR. THANKS ANYWAY.

I THINK THAT MAYBE TOO HEAVY AND BIG PAULA AND HAVE A TROLLEY THAT TURNS INTO FLAT CARRIER ON 4 WHEELS BUT WEIGHS A TON AND SPACE WISE ITS A NO NO FOR THE CAR.

I WANT A FOLD UP ONE SIMLIAR TO THE ONE THAT SHEILA HAS GIVEN A LINK TOO BUT TOO TIRED AT MO TO LOOK AY MO.

Airline approved are heavy Gill that would be my only flaw with them as they need to be somewhat robust - we have one of them, again the show world use trollies so a good place to start would be ebay and use pet trolley - Pet planet used to do them as well

Gill if you put in a search for Show cat carriers they may give you a better alternative as folks who show use a variety of types of hard and soft for travelling both nationally and internationally with cats of all sizes up to 12kg Maine Coons

JUST CHECKING THE INFO ON THIS CAGE FRANCES BUT IT ONLY OPENS AT END AND NOT FULL END. APPARENTLY IT COMES WITH A REMOVABLE FLOOR PANEL BUT DONT THINK THAT HELPS LOL............COULD MAYBE STICK IT OVER SASA BUT WOULD NEVER GET FLOOR IN PLACE.

LOOKS LIKE IITS A SLIDING IN DOOR TOO SO NO QUICK SHUT!

ANYWAY ABOUT TO RING THEN AND CHECK BUT THINK ITS A FRACTION TOO SMALL ALSO.

THANK YOU FRANCES..TRYING TO GET MISA TO SIT UP AND IF HE CAN SIT UP IN IT THAT WILL BE A RUNNER  ;D

A GREAT SITE TOO, SO WISH THE TRAY WOULD FIT BUT ONLY MADE FOR THE SMALLER CAGES.

WILL ALSO NEED SOME KIND OF SUPPORT INSIDE SO HE CANT FEEL THE WIRES.

IN MY CURRENT ONE THERE IS PIECE OF THICK FOAM THAT I PUT A VET BED ON TOP OFF,,,ITS PRETTY SCRATCHED UP FROM MISA TRYING TO SCRATCH IS WAY OUT BUT MAYBE CAN MOVE IT.

As long as you do it slowly Gill, Misa will be fine I'm sure

tHANK YOU SHEILA, I HAD BEEN PONDERING THIS OVER THE WEEKEND BUT THOUGHT IF IT WOULD WORK THE HANDLE WOULD NEED TO BE MOVED.

MISA SADLY IS NOT SUCH A WEIGHT ANYMORE AS HE HAS JUST BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH HYPER T AND HAS LOST OVER 2KGS  :(

HE HAS BAD ARTHRITUS AT THE BACK AND NOT SURE HE WOULD BE ABLE TO COPE WITH BEING TURNED OVER.

DO YOU THINK IT WOULD BE POSSIBLE TO MOVE THE HANDLE TO SAVE TURNING THE CATS. THIS CAGE WOULD ALSO BE USED FOR SASA AND MAYBE ALSO LUPIN NOW!

I HAVE SEEN ONE EXACTLY THE RIGHT SIZE ON EBAY BUT IT IS A TOP LOADER, DONT KNOW HOW STRONG IT IS THOUGH.

I NEED TO BE ABLE TO TRANSPORT MISA EVERY 3 WEEKS FOR BLOOD TESTS PRIOR TO HIM GOING TO BRISTOL FOR RADIO IODINE TREATMENT.

Gill, you can turn most top loaders on their side if the animal is happy to walk in, then just drop the lid closed, gently turn the basket the right way up. Release the same way, but in reverse.
Have another look at the top loaders, they may in fact work for you with this trick?

Also I've bought a little bogie cart for our transfer crates. It folds up neatly but gives you far more leverage for hefting a weight like Misa around. It's a bit like this but the wheels on mine are bigger

this company will make a carrier to your own specifications, not sure how much but might be a good investment? you can ring them for a quote. They do a smaller dome one, so a larger one shouldn't be a problem?

havent bought anything on ebay for years so tryong to set up a new acct but not working!

THE FIRST LINK IS THE CLOSEST TO WHAT I NEED BUT TOO SMALL IN THE WIDTH.

HOWEVER THERE IS ANOTHER ON THAT EBAAY LINK THAT COULD BE OKAY ALTHOUGH RECTANGULAR BUT HAVE A SUSPICION ITS A TOP LOADER GRRRRRRRRRRR, WANTED TO ASK BUT BTHEY ARE NOT RINGING ME WITH A PIN NUMBER SO CANT ASK THE QUESTION!

THE SIZE I AM LOOKING FOR IS 16/17 INCH WIDE, 18 INCHES HIGH BUT COULD GET AWAY WITH 16 I THINK, AND 21/22 LONG WITH THE WHOLE FRONT THAT OPENS. DOMED IF POSSIBLE. THE ONE I WAS LOOKING T ON THE EBAY LINK IS 16 X16 HEIGHT AND WIDTH AS FAR AS I CAN TELL.

YOU ARE RIGHT THE FIRST ONE HAS TERRIBLE REVIEWS AND ALSO SUSPECT THAT THE OTHERS ON THE EBAY LINK ARE THE SAME BUY NO WAY TO TELL.

Try looking at Pennie Wire Carriers at pet supermarket, you can actually move the handles so the carriers can be turned & opened  on their sides

THANKS VERY MUCH HEATHER AN STILL SEARCHING..............ALL AFTERNOON GRRRRRRRRRRR

SAT THE ONE YOU HAVE BUT ITS TOP OPENING AND NO WAY COULD I NGET ANY OF MY CATS ..............WELL EXCEPT LUPIN...............INTO A TOP LOADING ONE COS CANT PICK UP THE TWO BIG CATS MISA AND SASA.

I AM FINDING TO GET THE HEIGHT THEY NEED THE CAGES ARE TOO LONG TO GO ON THE FRONT SEAT OF THE CAR AND MISA GETS SO STRESSED ON JOURNEYS I NEED TO BE ABLE TO BE CLOSE TO HIM AND STICK MY FINGERS THRO THE BARS. IT WILL BE ABOUT 3HRS TO GET TO BRISTOL DEPENDING ON THE TRAFFIC.

AN HOURS JOURNEY EACH WAY TO THE VET IS BAD ENOUGH  :scared: :scared:

AM SORT OF LOOKING AT A LARGE PLASTIC CARRIER AT MOMENT BUT IS MUCH MORE CLOSED THAN THEY ARE USED TO AND 10CMS TOO LONG FOR THE FRONT SEAT.

ALSO CANT GET FINGERS IN THRO DOOR.

I HAVE RUN OUT OF IDEAS AT PRESENT BUT THANKS FOR THE SUGGESTION.

this is the one I bought for Silvie when she went off for her RI injection - I wanted a bigger cage as she would be in the car for around 2 hours. I just didn't realise how big it would be!  Its a shame you live so far away as you could have borrowed it :)

Biggles's  carrier is one of the Metalcote ones (top one) and I  can vouch for the quality. It's the same size as Bunty's (which is a different make) and is just as strong but is lighter weight which is a bonus. Like Frances I bought it from the website and couldn't fault the service.  I don't recall paying so much for postage though.
