Oh its great to hear how you found us.

I remember the last tearful days of CC and set up a site in yahoo but Tan said she thought the her and chappie could get one set up very quick, and they did, in an hour!!

It was so great cos I was struggling to get the yahoo one to work and it would never have been so good cos it was limited to work in a certain way by yahoo. Many of the ideas I wanted to put on where taken up by Tan and we have just gone on to get better and better.

We needed somwhere for all the CC peeps to go and in those last CC days  along with others we compiled lists of people from CC so we could tell peeps where we were.

CC closed a week before our auction was due to start and thanks to all the generous peeps who made such great fun and gave loads of dosh, Ron got a nice  Christmas present to help him over his financial probs during Christmas.

Purrs has evolved so much since those tiny steps last November and its amazing to see how the membership has grown from about 250 immediate members to the massive 688 of today.

Found CC when researching where to get kittens/cats from (googled "cat rescue in London") - soooo useful and v friendly - always did like reading it at "work"  :evillaugh:.  I've only recently started posting 'cos that's when we got our own pc rather than living in fear of being caught out at work  :scared: 'cos I got carried away.

OH also refers to this as the "mad cat women" forum but he still reads it but perhaps he's just checking up on what I'm saying about him :evillaugh:

Also, a bona fide excuse for not doing boring old housework  ;D

I was found!! (via name removed of website, after I posted about responsible dog ownership and Rosie's attack) by Mark, Lisa and few others (sorry I have forgotten the names :()

What a Godsend it was!!!

A CC asylum seeker - at times, I would love to not have the internet addiction, my house is getting embarrasingly untidy, yet this is much more fun!! Can't remember how I found CC though, it is over 2 years ago!!

didnt go on cc for a few weeks and when i signed in , it was gone    :'(     hubby thought it was funny  so i serched for purrs as it advised   :P to him

Surprisingly it was my OH that found CC when we were thinking about getting a cat when we moved into our new home.

It was one of the rescues on CC that we got Fearne from, so I read the forum looking for advice so I'd be prepared and was ready for Fearne to hide behind the sofa for 2 days when we first got her - she hid for 5 minutes  :Crazy:  I was really pleased she wasn't scared - but also slightly disappointed as I'd briefed my OH about this in the car on the way to the rescue  :rofl:

My OH now refers to this as the Madcatwoman forum  :rofl:

I found CC about a month before it closed down, so another refugee here  :)
My OH also thinks I'm obscessed, but he also knows how much the site helped us through the Proot's illness.
He also ooohs and ahhhs over any pictures of Bobby!

Not through google, but someone on another forum where I was pleading for info on liver disease recommended this site to me.
I am also accused by OH of being cat obsessed and I plead.....GUILTY. It's a life sentence  :Crazy:

Me from CC too, soooooo pleased that Tan and Hubby managed to get Purrs up and running so quickly, and I have to say that I'm on her more that I ever was on the old site lol ....... best not let my boss see this  :Crazy:

I orignally found CC through Google as I was looking for any sites about FIV.

I Was CC too and I agree with everyone thanks to Tan/chappie, gill and everyone else who has saved our lives.  Just wish I could get to the computer more often.  The Purrs withdrawal symptons are really dreadful :rofl:

A CC expat and greatful thanks to Tan/Chappie and Gill for giving us somewhere to be after our beloved CC forum went to read only on 16 November 2006

Where else would we all have been there's a strange thought - the internet wouldn't have as many cats to search!!!!

Freaky  :Crazy:  I was going to post the exact same Q, we've had lots of really nice new members recently and I was wondering how they found us.

I'm the same as Sam, a victim of CC closing although I was nowhere near as hooked on CC as I now am on Purrs  :evillaugh:
