Thanks, as always, for the update Sheila. You and your small team certainly punch above your weight when it comes to the number of cats you help  ;D

I think I have also wished Dave a Happy Birthday already (didn't you tell us it was his birthday last week? I guess 60 years takes a while to celebrate  :evillaugh: Anyhoo - Happy Birthday Dave!  :birthday:

A huge 'Well done' to Tad and her spidey senses and 'Thank you' on behalf of the little kitten whose life she saved.

Gawjus photos, I would take them all if I could. Then you would see me on one of those TV programs showing the mad woman with 200 cats in a small flat!  :scared:

Well it never rains but, boy, it sure does pour!

Phone rings at 1130am (my day off, still in PJs) 5 kittens dumped at a vet by the tube, can we help?

Oh Crap! Pens all full.. quick quick think... OK yes, can do. On my way.

Meet the reindeer kittens! All girls, 7-8 weeks of age, a bit scared but other wise in good health.

I know you'll all want to wish Mark (Dave to some  ) a very happy 60th Birthday today.

Mark spent the whole of yesterday sorting out everybody else's problems, including two vet visits, a very uncomfortable confiscation and collecting food from our faraway repository.

I hope you will join me in raising a glass or two this evening to our friend and cat champion, Mark Twinn.

 :birthday:  :M: :A: :R: :K: :drink2:

This week has been manic, the two ferals we re-trapped for relocation are still in the pens and getting bored now.  :im bored:
We collected a very pretty young calico tortie who has been living with her semi-feral family for spay, but she's turned out to be an absolute sweetie so is staying in for rehab and rehoming. Stunning little thing, if anyone wants a perfect little lady to help them through Christmas, she's the one.  :Luv2:

One of her siblings, yet another semi-feral kitten who was rehomed by the colony's feeder was sent back as he's "too wild" so have a guess where he's ended up?  Partnering him with the semi-feral Troy should be perfect for them both and they're going in for castrate on Tuesday together.

So, Tufty Towers is once again full to busting. We're trying very hard to wind down for Christmas but life ain't letting up, and yesterday was typical of life here at the moment.

Tad has been an utter hero this week  She picked up a facebook plea about a kitten that had been left in the flat of a mentally challenged person for two weeks. She popped over to see if she could locate the kitten through the week but saw no sign of life, and made arrangements to go back with Mark yesterday, thinking the worst. :omg: :scared:

They found it, terribly dehydrated and famished but alive :phew:  Mark had his famous net with him so the kitten has been captured and brought out of that situation, however at 4 months and only 1.2kgs she's in a bad way but she should survive.  :)
Had it not been for Tad's unerring sixth sense (I swear she has cat senses) and tenacity the kitten would be dead, no doubt. :you go girl:

Photos are Callie, Troy and Oscar who is off to the adoption centre on Monday!

OK, must crack on, I simply must dye my hair before the party tonight, my roots are looking more like the M1 motorway than hair, and I've (Gordon bennett) no cat food in!

So far so good, all four are now with the lively Ruth,  3 boys aged around 3-4 weeks,  still wobbly and blue eyed but lapping food. The fourth kitten is a little girl, now named Pudding, she's either a runt or is from a different litter as she's nearer the size of a 12-14 day old kitten and needs supplementing so she's now a hand rear.

Dumped in a carrier in the park. No sign of mum and although I want to stamp and swear, I'll save my energies for the cats.  >:(

Vibes please, we're new to this.  :shify:

Just a quick update as I'm at the vets waiting to collect 4 kittens that were dumped at the local park - utterly freezing temperatures here last night, hopefully they've survived and will make it. Apparently they're only 4 weeks old, no sign of Mum.  :scared:

Rehoming update: phew we're flying!  :wow:

Morgan and Flint have been rehomed together  ;D Patty Fleur has gone to her new bessie mate, an 8 year old boy named Davi who was almost late for school today because he had to play with his new kitten  :Luv:
Ana, their fosterer, was in tears when she handed her over to me last night.  :(
This was her first go at fostering and she was brrrilliant, but it broke her heart three times over.

Penny and Lilly have gone to the adoption centre where they were tucked in by our own wonderful Marina. :care: who herself is fostering the gorgeous kittens Matilda, Marina (baby) and Troy.  :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2:

Intake today, two stray, neutered, underweight and presumably abandoned boys found at the recycling centre hiding in the bushes and fending for themselves.  :( :(
Lance and Lawrence shall want for nothing this winter.  :) :)

Lyn, expect contact soon, re the Amazon wish list. We have a new Social Media volunteer, the aptly named Kat will be dealing with our Lost and Found, fundraising by on-line auctions ans the Amazon wishlist to get her started. She's meeting Tad tomorrow to mull over ideas and get started.

Thanks for your patience everyone, especially you Lyn it must be very frustrating to have gone to the trouble of setting the thing up and not to have it working.

Sheila  I'm so sorry that you lost your beloved Polly. All the rescue work you do must be so rewarding - but it doesn't make up for the loss of your soulmate ('familiar' as my friend called her adored black cat  ;D ). It does sound as if you have the obvious solution to hand though :briggin:

So glad that a new volunteer stepped up to the plate Sheila! I understand that people have their own commitments but it would have been a terrible shame if you no longer had the CP backing at this stage.

I agree with Gill and Dawn F that an Amazon 'wishlist' would be really good, especially at this time of year. Please get in touch if there is anything I can do to help with this.

Such a shame that Penny's adoption didn't work out but it does sound clear that 'Colin' was not offering a good home  :'( I hope this beautiful girl soon finds a loving forever home. I just adore those little black markings at the edge of her nostrils  :Luv2:

Volunteertastic! I've been racing around since 7am trapping, building feral hutches, vetting owners, repaying adoption fees, vet visits, more trapping and finally.... An interview with a wannabe treasurer!

I know you're all concerned and willing good things on us, and the vibes have worked. Just need head Offuce approval tomorrow and we should be back in the saddle and performing miracles again very soon.  ;D

So busy forgot to get drunk tonight! Fancy that!  :shy:
