Well its all dreamy here... optimism rules ok?
And Carol, your input is more than welcome
I'll have a look at your reference material if and when we get that far, at the moment Plan B is wishful thinking as there's still no guarantees they will live that long. But I thank you, yes indeed, I need all the help I can get so don't anyone be shy in posting on here what good ideas and experiences I can learn from.
Sue, it's making me weep for you but Little Lorna has proven to be an ear sucker.
She's only 380g at 6 weeks so is severely stunted by the flu, but she's sooooooo clingy now and she huffpuffs in my earhole with the occasional nip to wake me up.
Not had this ever before, it's just erghh and awwwhhh at the same time, the hairs on my neck and arms are up, its the most beguiling and disturbing feeling. I love it and want it to stop at the same time.
Great news first.. Lorna finally got her first go at weaning and seems to have got it, by Golly I think she's turned the corner.
Then Lola joined in
then Robbie decided he would show them up
so that's three on the road to rehoming.
Not so great news, poor Mario's eyes are not improving, despite his antibiotic and eye ointment his eyes look dreadful and he is refusing solids, so at 6 weeks he's starving for formula/milk and is a real worry that his sight may not recover.
Little Jarvis is also not thriving, he did take 0.5 mls of formula from the bottle earlier (the first time he's accepted it!) alongside some trickled in from the syringe and Theresa has allowed him one feed today but he still seems to be shrinking
He's two weeks old today and to me looks no different to when he came in except for his huge bug eyes. Vet weighed him this week and gave me the "don't blame yourself" talk.
I shall not be defeated.
I went on a training course today to learn how to use the CP tracker and website. I'm hopeful that this will help me move our cats on much more effectively by giving needy cats much needed exposure. Its right up my street
Tomorrow we have two longstanding abandonment cases being re-homed!
I'm utterly delighted and if anyone wants to check out Central London page its Garfield and Tiiger who have found their forever furents. Socks will be left on his own.
but Laura, their Godsmother, will take care of him.
http://www.cats.org.uk/london/adopt-a-cat/?cid=125857Best of the best? GI Joe has found his way home to his Laura, the lovely feeder 2 miles away from me, Godsmother to Tigger, Kitty, Socks and Garfield.
I've no idea how he did it but here he is, on Laura's doorstep, waiting on his chikkun.
On a terribly sad note, my oppo, Tad, sadly lost her Dad yesterday.
She puts so much in and takes nothing out, a darling woman who gives everything with no strings. I'll do what I can. RIP Tad's Dad.
