All good news tonight!

Vinnie and Marble our last two ferals came back after their spays. Turns out neither were pregnant, but poor Marble was so chock full of infection we'd all assumed she was 2nd trimester! Talk about the nick of time.  :)

Florence is still hanging on to her kittens  :-: its a good job as when she does give birth i'll need to go buy another flipping crate!

Johnny our 14 week old kitten has come out of his shell and now loves his Uncle Mikey.  :Luv:

King Bob is the most chilled cat on the planet.  8)

Squeaky Dee is finally using the litter tray!  ;D

Chocolate has won the heart of our lovely Jen  :wow: who will get her new boy at the weekend. It was lovely to meet you at last, yet I feel I've known you well for years... isn't Purrs a wonderful place for that?

We recce'd a job today, mum and 4 of the prettiest kittens, around 5-6 weeks old. Poor mum is skin and bone. We can't take her till Saturday when the two ferals go out and even when we can there's no money left in the budget to treat her. She can come in to safety, i have flea treatment and a wormer for her and her babies good food and rest, but anything medical will have to wait till we get some more funds in from the centre.

Once these guys are in, the doors close behind them.

I'll let Paula update you on Merlin, more positive news! I'm going to grab a naughty gin and tonic.  ;)

Three boys in for castration tomorrow, so an early start before work, Busy busy busy!  :bee:

I think that a lot of rescues prefer indoor only, no RTA's, no risk of FIV etc.

Just need to check indoor only is OK really. We are hoping to move house April next year and have a garden with a cat pen. As long as that suits Mr though  :) :Luv2:

:wow: 26! That's amazing! A huge well done, I don't know how you do it!

Glad Fred and the little Fredsters are doing well and settling into foster.

It was me guvnor what said about a kitten. OH wants one (and of course i would never say no) and poor Billy tries to play with Zarny but she isn't interested. So he wanders off on his own (after getting a batting round the head).

Also 3 is the magic number not 2.  :sneaky:

Any pics available to swoon over? How do we go about home checks to prove our worthiness for a waltham cat?  :) a teeny Groucho sounds sublime!!!

Fred made a staggering recovery! He and his 12 yes 12 brothers and sisters all now safely placed in foster care around the greater Essex area, one of the mms turned out to be friendly so she's been spayed and gone into care with the kittens. Such a relief!  :tired:

Yes, Jen, I didnt give him that name lightly!

Did someone say they want a kitten? I have just the boy but dare not post his pic here for fear of Rosella having some form of seizure. It's a teeny "Groucho," named Chocolate, he's 14 weeks old. Cuddly, playful, just norty enough....  :Luv:

Carol I'm assured the donate button from our own web page does feed our branch account, but I will check and post on here. I'm touched that I'm answering this question.  :thanks:

Thank you too for the kind words, but I'm no Theresa, she did this for years without the backing of Cats Protection. I miss her too. Often cast my eyes heavenwards seeking strength or inspiration. She hasn't let me down yet.  :wow:

Eaty start tomorrow, but that's just boring old work. 26 cats we've helped this week. That was the figure we had in mind for a whole month when I put the budget bid together. Sheesh!

Here's Florence our preggie girl, seeking a foster space to have her babies, and Fred, Grace, Gabriel, Garry and Gina all feeling much better.

Gnight alll xxx

A question for Sheila/Tad.  Can I be sure that a donation made through your website will go to Waltham Forest Cats and not into the general CP coffers?  The donations page looked very generic when I  went into it so I came out again.  :innocent:

Update on my aggressive foster.

Pi nicking Merlin's Royal Canin

Merlin's response, you can't see it in the photo, but he is keeking from one eye. Sorry, posted wrong photo

I didn't get on here until later, but Theresa sounds fantastic, I wish I had known her. This is the first time I had heard about the gentlemen.

Great news.  ;D. Keep fighting little Fred, you can do it.

Do any of the 'old timers' on Purrs think of Teresa when they read this thread.  I know I do.  Sheila you are an absolute star and the  things you have achieved in such a short space of time are a real credit to you and your team.

She's often in my thoughts, Carol, as are Daddy Rob and Rob Jnr.   Miss her passion, her wisdom, her friendship, and her great good humour, but feel my life was enriched for knowing her.

17!!  Blimey.   :-:  Topping up the positive vibes for little Fredster.  For Sheila too.....

Just had a text from Sheila and she asked me to update as she is at work. Fred has now got 4 brothers and sisters in with him now, they picked up most of the colony yesterday, 17 cats in all. Sheila says that Fred is doing better than she could have hoped. She'll get some more pics later.

Gawd knows when she actually sleeps! Sheila you are an absolute star!
