Off to Wales on Thursday we're bringing 9 cats in as part of my FRET programme, and 4 little ferals going out to new lives in the country. Like little furry evacuees there's Mafalda and her kitten Ford, Timmy and Phoebe all of whom have proved unresponsive even to chikkun, so off to the Valleys it is.
Dawn, my condolences to your friend. I'm sure we can help with the 9 due in this week as none will be reserved until our vet has signed them off.
Today I got a gold star.
Poorly kitten came in over Christmas, little Clive is a snuggle bum but had really bad diarrhoea we simply couldn't shift. Well today I demanded full bloods despite my vet telling me it was some kind of food intolerance (having ruled out parasites and bacterial infection) but I knew there was more to it. Well damned good job I did as poor little snuggly Clive has Pancreatitis. He's in hospital on a drip. Lets just hope my spider senses picked this up quickly enough.
I personally think Tad is on my shoulder these days acting as guardian angel for these little mites.
His pal Jimmy, therefore, is going up for adoption. He's a super little mini parlour panther but needs to come to you rather than the other way around. Once he's with you he flips on his back for tummy rubs and purrs up a storm but I know he's missing his little cell mate Clive.
Vibes for little Clive please?
Update on Angel or broken leg girl, she's doing really well and the external frame is off. Her pin due to be reduced/removed w/c 24th Feb all being well it's looking good, due to some excellent veterinary care and the doting attention of her WFCP fosterer Jules.
Paulie the Tip kitten found her forever home and we're monitoring the allotment cats we spied down there during our visit, all of which look well but sadly entire.
Paula, I'm delighted the Goring arm of WFCP are all doing so well under your care - thank you for the update and the smiles. xx
Rosella, I know you're otherwise occupied right now but I'd like to thank you for keeping things fresh here for our supporters and cheerleaders.
It's vital our team know what their work means to the outside world, as sometimes we get so bogged down in what we're doing we fail to catch the bouquets when they're thrown.
