Hi there,
Well....we now have a new addition to our family....as Winnie is now home safe and sound!
It was actually quite funny, as we weren't supposed to be picking her up until Thursday as she was going in to be spayed and micrco-chipped, but when the vet shaved her fur to begin the spay, she realised that Winnie had already been spayed previous to coming into the RSCPA Centre.
So, I got a phone call last night...unfortunately I missed the call as I had fallen asleep, so I contacted Winnie's foster carer this morning and organised to collect Winnie for about lunchtime! Needless to say....I was squealing lol.
When we got there, Alison (foster carer), took us down to where Winnie was and we saw her. She was being really playful and was rolling over on her back and purring like a mad thing
. She was also licking my fingers and was relatively calm in the carry box on the way home...only a few little protestant meows...but she was quite happy to have my finger rubbing her under the chin practically all the way home
.
When we got home, I put the carry box in the utility room (which is where we have set up all of Winnie's new stuff) and opened the carry box. Winnie put 2 paws onto the floor tiles...took a couple of Dreamies and bolted back inside the box. So we left her for an hour or so...and when I went to check again, she had fallen asleep in the carry box lol
.
Her foster carer, gave Winnie a birthday of 1st August...so we reckon she's about a year old now, and still has plenty of kitten in her, especially when she was at the foster carer's lol.
That's all for now....but I will add photos as soon as I get home, as I am currently out volunteering at the moment.
Mweekie xx
