I feed 3 times a day, first thing in the morning of meat, then early evening, again meat, then a snackette  :evillaugh: at bedtime! of biscuits. I don't stick to any particular times though - can't be doing with all that hour before mealtime pestering! Some of my older ones have an extra snack at lunchtime, which I try my hardest to do without alerting any of the others, hmmmm!

Mine would eat me out of house and home if i left dry food down all the time plus they would be right porkers !!

They get fed once in the morning about 7ish and then about 6ish in the evening !

If they dont get fed by 7pm in the evening i know about it

I think it's entirely down to you and the cats :)  If they are healthy and neither under- or overweight then it's fine.  Some people say that cats are sticklers for routine, but I don't find it so, and I certainly don't think they'd have much feeding routine in the wiild.  Mine seem happiest having half a tin of wet between the three of them morning and again in the evening (tho times can vary drastically depending on what I'm doing that day), plus dry food is out for them always, although I make sure that it's not older than 24 hours.  Plus water, of course, and the occasional treat :)  Go with the flow!

I give Mogs and Amber a pouch between them morning, teatime and supper and they have biscuits down all the time and water obviously. When I first took them to the cattery the lady commented on how little they eat but I work on the principle that they're obviously not starving and they arent what you'd call active.

Little and often is best for cats as that's how they'd feed if they were catching their own prey, but I feed mine 3 times a day (similar times to welshigirl except they have their last meal of the day a bit later) and they seem to be happy with that.

I couldnt pin all nine of mine down to be fed at the same time they would run away

Everyone feeds their cats in different ways. The 3 that live with my mum gets fed their dry food morning and evening whereas mine have a big bowl of dry left down all the time and then get wet whenever I give it to them (they don't have wet everyday)

If your cats aren't fat or really skinny then you're fine  ;D

Now that would actually be up to the cat lol!....depends on how active they are.....most pet foods will give u a guide to how much you should be feeding......then you can up or down the amounts as you think fit ;)

I feed mine three times a day.  I have two cats and they have a handful of biscuits for breakfast at around 7ish,whiskas/felix/sheba pouch, tray each at around 4-6ish and another pouch/tray or a handful of biscuits (depending on my mood) for supper at around 9ish.  Am I feeding my cats right?  Please say if I am over feeding or under feeding  8)
Love me,love my animals.
