I think its great! I found the old way very hard to follow because things got bumped up, this way i can keep an eye on my bids!
That was the whole point, by keep changing the order every night it forced people to hunt, and therefore see other things or things that had been forgotten about.
Was very clear it worked because all the things that appeared at top every night were bid on the next day, etc etc etc, cos it caused new interest and the things that had been bid on strongly the day before suddenly were out of favour.
Auctions are games of psychology and for me this is too clean and clinical I am afraid.
Also the fun has gone for me but easy to be critical and Tan has improved this system so much since its inception and it will probably get more and more tailored as time progresses.
I may be in the minority in what I like to see, and how I like it to run but there are three bottom lines, will it make money and will it hold peoples interest for two weeks, the third one is a no brainer it has taken away all the massive manual effort that overwhelmed the manual system.
However and I dont know if this will change next year is that Tan now seems to be running this solo and that is a lot of work.
