Well bad and good news on the Evie front....
Her operation was a lot bigger than the specialist thought when she examined her, but managed to knit the muscle together to repair the hernia. This was last tuesday, and Evie was kept in overnight before being sent home the next day with painkillers.
She wasnt moving around much at all, only to use the litter tray, when she would let out a painfull YEOWW!
she would only eat and drink if you brought her bowls over, but still had a good appetite.
On Sunday night I thought there was some swelling, and on Monday there was definitely some swelling, so I rang the vets who changed her appt from 4pm Tues to 10am Tues. She thought it might just be fluid, but they sedated her and there was some infection so she came home yesterday tea time with antibiotics, an open wound (to allow drainage) and a neck cone as she is licking the wound.
Wouldn't you think they would of given her antibiotics anyway after such an op???
She is a different cat now tho, wandering about, still limping tho, and snuggling up on the bed
Hopefully that is everything over with and she will continue to improve and be back to the norty nutter she was before!!!
The poor thing has two vet appointments next tues, one in the morning to review her op, and one in the afternoon with her regular vet for her 2nd jabs
I wonder if she'll be snuggling that night?!
