I really enjoyed being part of the auction, please don't hesitate to contact me next year to donate some stuff, including some of my cats. Well done to all the people involved in organising the auction!xx

I have put forward an idea for next year to the staff but dont think anyone has read!

However we will be trialing some software to see how it works and that may preclude my idea.

My suggestion was that we have a standard £1 postage charge to all winning bidders on every item.

What a great auction and a wonderful amount raised, thanks to all those who have worked so hard to make it happen

I am quite bothered that Purrs will have to foot the postage bill for all the items donated to them by businesses, especially since some of the stuff donated was very heavy and is going to cost a lot to post to the winning bidders.
I realize the deal this year was that the donor pays for the postage, which is fine when its an ordinary forum member doing the donating as that's what was agreed, however I would like to pay towards the postage costs of the items that I won to make sure that the proceeds raised for this very worthy cause does not cripple Purrs in the process. :-[

Well said, I have been concerned about that too. It was nice not having to factor in p&p while bidding but I am sure most of us were happy to pay p&p as part of the deal.

See how it pans out but perhaps worth re-considering the p&p aspect  for next year?

X

Thanks for your comments guys, very useful to get feedback.  We will certainly give it some thought for next year  ;)  Obviously if people want to add a bit extra to their final amount we will gratefully accept

Some of the items get shipped by the businesses direct to the winners, afraid I dont know which though.

If you would like to donate for some of the postage we would be delighted and think it would be better if you Pm me and we can discuss.

Thank you very much Lorna  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Fantastic!

And of course if everybody rounds up to the nearest pound the total may go up!

Well done everybody and thank you to the organisers for all your hard work, it was great fun as always.

Thats Brilliant  :wow:

there will also be my donation to add on top of this  ;) ( I only managed to get it in this morning )

I missed the auction this year as I am currently still in the middle of the north sea.............. and you have no
idea how much hassle i had trying to donate while the auction was still going  lost count of how many
times I lost the internet connection and absolutely hate typing on the phone  :tired:

Right here comes the good bit people  :wow:

You have done the most oustanding job in the auction and all those raw bidding fingers were well worth it............oh yes indeed.  :Luv2: :Luv2:

I am rather tired now so cant do loads of stuff but first would like to say thank youto everyone who worked behind the scenes to make the auction work.  :tired:

First and admit I am only just adding this........where is the idiot icon? and her work begins way before the auction starrts and that is Samazing.  :wow:

Sam is our commercial manager and contacts companys and people to try and get them to sponsor our auction.  All those ads in the top right corner represent those she has persuaded to sponsor us and without her we would not have an auction...................cue applause  ;D ;D ;D ;D

There is so much work over the two weeks and unless involved at the coalface you just wouldnt believe all the time and effort.  :shify: :shify:

So apologies if i miss anyone.  :scared:

Thanks to the two spreadsheet girls Jen and Louise.  ;D ;D

To the night staff who update and shuffle the threads Tan, Susanne, JS - aka Shonagh, i am sure there is another one or two, think Jen may have helped too.  ;D ;D

Tonight all of the above have worked their fingers to the bone and thank you thank you thank you  ;D ;D ;D

Now i get the good bit  :innocent: :innocent:

The first PROVISIONAL total for this years auction is

£1850

This may go up or down, hopefully up but there are things like Paypal charges to take out................pay by bank if you can please, any MOD can give you the account info just pm them.

If you can add a bit more to your payment all will be greatfully received..............so I guess its time for some of these
