It might be better if they stayed more cautious! They play quite rough with each other and I'm not sure they understand each other's limits well enough.

Well, in that piccie, both of them look curious without looking murderous.  That's always a great place to begin.  :)

He does actually carry curtain rings around. And he did not tear the curtains down to do it...

It is astonishing where kittens find their way too , every little nook and craney. You spend hours looking for them when the decide to hide. You need a rattley toy to bring them out into the open again. Something that attracts their attention. Poor Billy.  Hope he gets somewhere suitable soon.

In other news, Yul has made it to the kitchen counter now... It was more about figuring out a route though. He could already climb on the stools and it was close enough to jump. There's almost nothing left he can't climb on...

Yul was born in a house with four dogs so he was fine with them but the dogs were very tolerant of the kittens. Billy (he) is not. He has a lot of issues... He is in a local rescue handed in because of dog/lead reactivity. So they're really cautious about who they rehome him to... The cat is the least of his troubles!

It's a Bonnie dog, isn't it!

(We used to have one called Bonnie and every Westie me and my sister have seen since then has been Bonnie Dogs.)

Adorable. :-)

The sooner they meet dogs the better. It makes their lives easier because they accept them and usually get  on together . Very cute  :Luv2:

My little Munchkin was also a little subdued after his first and second injections, but he soon bounced back.

It's lovely to read about how Yul is progressing and see the update photos.

They really are lovely as cats and kittens..No one should be going around dismissing having a black cat as a pet. They can be just as endearing, full of  mischief and great to be a slave to for many years.

:Luv2: how lovely. Reminds me of my Bully when she was a kitten.

My now, seven year old tabby Tom has a identical cover to sit on. He is on it right now in the big tartan basket. Think it came from PAH some years ago.

My black cat was very good for feeding.  She ate any meal that was put in front of her. Not the fussy type at all. I see no problems about having a black kitten or cat in the house.  They make lovely pets.

Gave him his worming tablet today. He actually ate it on his own. At least I think so. But he will eat pretty much anything so I'm not surprised...

He is using it, but not covered. I thought I would cover it gradually once he's using it regularly? I don't know if I'm underestimating him. It's a bit tricky to get into though, it's not a flap, you have to crawl under a hood and jump up. I think that's what's supposed to stop the dog. I'm not sure it will work on a terrier!

Welcome to the forum. My previous cat was an all black kitten and she lasted nearly eighteen years. Mind, she did have a tabby Tom mate for thirteen years. She was a lovely cat.  :welcome: :welcome: :welcome:

We both slept a lot last night but he's back to being very active now. Though he did sneeze a couple of times today. I think he's ready for a nap now.
We got a big boy litter box now and he's already using it but I haven't put the cover on it yet. It's supposed to be dog proof...

Hi Newyorker. All milestone moments aren't they?   :)  Yes, it's quite normal for them to be a bit subdued and sleep more.  Just continue to keep an eye on him and by tomorrow he should be all chipper and ready to take life at 100 mph again.

We had our first shot today. He's been a bit lethargic since we came home. I hope that's normal after a vaccination?

Ah - butter!  Combination of something new, and a delicious taste  ;) :wow:  Cat heaven.   :)

One of our dogs used to love being given ice cubes to crunch on.   :)

Lol. He doesn't care for the tv to be honest.
Something odd happened today and now I'm wondering if he's teething already. He was nine weeks yesterday. I was cleaning some ice from the back of my fridge and a small piece dropped on the floor. He licked it and chewed it for a whole before loosing interest. I know dogs like to play with ice cubes but I'm not sure I ever heard of a cat engaging in such silliness.
Disclaimer: a stick of butter had been touching the ice so there might have been some butter in there. Yeah my fridge is messy.

Looks like the litter substitution worked... At least in the litter box in my room. I didn't change his tv room box yet.
