Thank you KittyNic, he is fine today. Felicity is quite young she is under 2 but he is a bit too much some times and she gets very grumpy. He can play rough and she is very gentle so it gets to her . But then she forgives him bless :Luv2:

It's lovely to see Felicity and Mr Jingles playing and sleeping together after the somewhat awkward start. You'll probably find Mr Jingles brings a younger side of Felicity out. My Codex did that with my old boy Sam when she turned up as a kitten. :-)

They are both beautiful cats.

I hope Mr Jingles recovers from his bauble removing quickly. Jacob didn't seem bothered by it at all even though he had to have multiple stitches due to a more blood supply to larger than normal baubles!

Delighted all went well Pav  :)  Remember that general anaesthetic takes a while to exit the system and cats react differently to it.  Not a bad thing that he is a bit quieter today.

Hope he regains his appetite soon which will help put your mind at rest

When George came back from the vet he wanted to clean his newly shaved bits, but once he'd finished (two minutes, perhaps less) I distracted him with some treats and he left the area alone after that. George is a fair bit older than Mr Jingles though, and all the kittens I've had castrated have barely shown any interest at all.

Don't fret, Pav, he's already past the hard bit.  :evillaugh:

when Alfie was 'done' the vet said that the occasional lick (from Alfie, not me!!) was OK but I should let them know if he was licking to the degree that he wouldn't leave it alone. I certainly didn't have to sit up all night watching him. In fact, Alfie went and sat in the bathroom handbasin, I guess it was probably cool against his nether regions!

Oh Gill i dont blame you for not being happy. Its so very stressfull for both you and Sasa to have another vet visit :( Could you maybe take a picture of her eye/ face and email it to Gareth so he can advice to take her in or not?

I was told by the young nice vet to watch Mr Jingles for 48 hours not to lick himself!! And then try and keep him under min activities for next 2 weeks which i replied impossible  I guess i am on lick watch tonight :naughty: Well not complaining just so grateful he is home.

Great news Pav  :briggin: Ours love their cube, I hope Mr Jingles has fun with his.

Gill, I'm sorry Sasa is having problems with that eye  :( In human medicine it was quite common to get patients having problems caused by the suture material, I hope it is nothing to worry about

Great news Pav  ;D ;D ;D

I have spoken to Gareth and he says that the body rejects things like stitches sometimes as it takes them about 3 months to desolve so he thinks sasas body has thrown out the knot along with the thread. he says that she will be well healed by now and i can either try and cut off or take her in so he can cut! or just leave and it will gradually disolve and drop off.

he thinks she may have caught her eye or have a mild infection but doesnt think a problem.

he will be in wed to fri so gonna keep an eye sic on her but she shoulf not swell up again............so need to try and work out if she is swollen.

so not really very happy.

That's wonderful Pav. So pleased he's done well.  ;D

I think blood tests can give false readings in very young cats because they still have their Mum's antibodies. After 6 months it will be more accurate, but I never bother with blood tests unless the cat appears to be sick and needs a blood work-up for diagnosis.

Gill, hoping you get some equally good news about Sasa.
